Quality or Quantity???

2 or 3 starters and hopefully keep the starting 11 here, so striker, winger and someone to cover for xhaka/ come on later in games so we don't flog him to death over the season.
I'd be surprised if we brought many more in since the teams been unbelievably solid for the most part.

Be happy enough to see isodor sold and a few more peripheral players to help ease the costs, as well as trying to get a few yoots in for the future

We have work to do, I imagine a few lads will get loans. We will need to replace Cirkin, Geetruida and Isidor. I also expect another winger and centre back.
 
I think Mundle, Isidor, Cirkin and Geertruida will be away and maybes Traore if he doesn't play anymore this season, can also see a loan for Ta Bi. They're all mainly squad players so they would all need replacing with at least similar quality. Don't think the first XI will change too much though unless we sell people.

Need a long term successor to Xhaka and Reinildo plus another quality CB for competition, and a strong backup for Brobbey, still see Mayenda getting bit parts as the 3rd striker.

I rekon we need about 8 players.

We need the majority of these to be first teams. Players of the quality of Nordi & Xhaka.

The squads still too thin at the min to just only add one or two.

The difference between 6th - 14th in PL is £165M + £30M Europa League to £145M a difference of £3.5M per PL place in table the coming weeks sets up our squad financially with a strong finish…
 
Bench has looked very light at times. Replace jones, cirkin, Isidor and probably gertruida. Plenty overhaul to do of the wider squad. Probably going to need to shop at home a bit to bring the home grown quota up. Find loan options for Jocelin, mundle and probably myenda.

We need competition at LB and LCB. We also need competition for Xhaka’s position.
We need a first choice right winger and someone to genuinely compete with Brobbey. Five incoming is an absolute minimum in my opinion but I think it’ll be more like eight.

Look at the situation. We signed who we did last year when it was the unknown, a newly promoted side. We’re now definitely a team capable of pushing for a European spot regardless of if we finish top 10 or 14th.

There’ll be another lot of players that we appeal to now, that we didn’t last year.

Thats not me saying we’ll spend 250 with 3 50m superstars.

But the aim will be to kick on and the only way to do that is for quality.

I think the club should certainly offer improved contracts in the first instance for some of the players lot cheaper than transfers imo but if ambition is the issue or wages offered by others mean we can not or it would not be wise to compete your left facing harsh realitys???

If we sign 4-5 players that'll improve things I think that'll do. We may lose one of our better players and I can see Isidor moving tbh, love the lad but he's not been in good form.

I trust the recruitment and that's a hell of a difference to the last time we were in the Prem. Some of those windows were a clown car of shite for arrivals

Competition is required but unless we can get much better, for value I’d rather we take a risk on a one for the future type player, those 3 positions will all be fine for next year bar injuries so we don’t need to splash big money on them yet. The midfielders will have a full year experience which is huge if Xhaka isn’t available for a period next season.

Right winger is 100% the area to look at first for me, it’s the only position that we require a real starter type player. Striker wise if Isador goes then we’d need somebody but again we only play 1 up front so it won’t be a proven goalscorer unless we get insane value as we have Brobbey.

All depends on who leaves tbh, for every player leaving we need to replace, then 3 or 4 on top of that and I’d be very happy. First time in years I really trust those in charge of the club.

Agree mate. It will be harder to kick on if we have to replace more than one crown jewel.

We are in a much better position this summer to last.

I just hope we add sufficient quality if we do lose a couple to the big boys.
