After that so called hair pull

Wait. Does that mean pulling someone's arm is also a red card??

Haway man.

Calvert Lewin had just thrown his arm into his jaw and Martinez never once took his eye off the flight of the ball. He was clearly grasping at whatever he could as he was knocked off balance.

It wasnt violent. It wasnt forceful.

It wasnt a red card under any variation of the laws of the game.

You can talk of risk. Risk is something that applies when VAR cant help the ref make the right decision. There is no justification for the decision.
Agree with this 100%. Don’t get me wrong I was more than happy to see it given but feck me the games gone to shit when things like that are a red card…

It's literally classed as violent conduct whether this place thinks it's all fair game or not
And there's precedent for reds for it

Wtf was the red supposed to do?

VAR look at all goals. Not sure how people still don't get this.
Obviously not looking properly then , as leeds 1st goal was a blatant foul by CL on man u player , no attempt to play the ball , and even if he did attempt to play the ball it was still a foul

Nobody on sky commentary or in the studio thought it was a foul.

You trying to quote excessive force at me or something?

Let's get back to the good old days when you could legally poke a finger up and opponents rectum while we're at it

No. I'm going to quote the actual law.

Hair pull with force is violent conduct.

Was that "with force"? Of course it wasnt man.

The law is designed to stop Cucurrella incidents where a defender yarks his head off his shoulders. Its not about any contact with the hair is a red card.

Did you , as I did ? and sky pundits just play to the public , controversially sometimes just to cause discussion , it was blatantly a foul no attempt whatsoever to play the ball, like the one in injury time , CL looked at man u player twice before clattering into him with no attempt to play ball and again nothing given

Surely disagreeing with the decision and claiming United had been robbed would be a better angle to 'play to the public' or at least get the panel to disagree with each other to generate some contention. More likely that the panel of ex professionals disagree with your take on it. It was borderline for me and like with many cases the referee is justified in giving it either way.

Unfortunately refs have buckled to this consistency bullsh*t. If he doesn't give a red, you could already hear the screams of inconsistency made by supporters of other sides who have had players sent off for hair pulls.

Am not even going to ask how you pull hair without force and/or judge it

Anyway, "the game has gone" but this is such a poor example to get all cross about.

Can't even pull someone's hair now man
Even, the poster saying he disagrees with men having anything but a short back and sides

So by borderline you think it was possibly a foul or at least contentious? Yet in anouther breath you think it wasn't because some overpaid ex pro never mentioned it ? Your arguing with yourself

You dont know how to judge force? Really?

Just admit you thought the law was any hair pull is a red.

It wasnt a red card and should be overturned.

I never said it 'wasn't a foul'. I said the referee was justified either way. I mentioned that the pundits thought it was. The fact that they thought it wasn't a foul hugely undermines your position that it was definitely a foul.

Not once in my 30 years of playing centre half have I felt the need to pull someone’s hair when going for a header.

Players should concentrate on defending instead of trying to be a dick
Can’t imagine you’ve played against many centre forwards with man buns who wear skirts on their day off .

I played in Czech Republic against villages….they might not wear skirts but they certainly don’t go for a skin fade
