Legends Way fan vote: choose the 14 legends


Iirc we had bars dotted around the stadium that were named after some of the older former players?

I know it's all about opinions but "legends" relates to achivements whilst at safc and legacy so I'd take out Defoe and Scott.

I dont mind Bob Murray being recognised with this.

I can see the arguments about some of the others,football has always been about opinions which is why it kicks off on here.
 
Probably people in the marketing department making these decisions who simply don’t have a clue. An absolute joke.

Fans have been calling for years to properly recognise the true club greats from before the ’73 team. That history matters but it’s constantly overlooked.

To see Scott included ahead of genuine legends is beyond belief. Then again, it’s exactly what you’d expect when decisions are left in the hands of people outside the footballing side of the club which I have no faith in. See season ticket thread etc

I mean mags could have voted for it if they wanted to, that's how daft it was.
 
Let’s face it whoever was picked there’d be a sizeable proportion of fans against it. Just something else to moan about, especially when on field stuff is going well.

There are others of course to have a shout but nothing that controversial in those picks. As it is, they have for some reason gone some outrageous ones that should be absolutely nowhere near. At least those above and many other have a fair arguement.

No chance they've had loads of requests for defoe and Reid thats more than the people selecting their 14 anyway.

Highly doubtful. They've just gone with what they want and get more people who can attend the unveiling.
