Brobbey. An absolute nightmare for defenders.

We’ll agree to disagree then. I love Brobbey, and if it was deliberate it probably came out of frustration because as usual he got little protection from the referee during the game, which I completely get
I think he has deliberately shoved him, but that's just the natural reaction from most strikers when the defenders get in front of them and shield the ball. Frustration basically.

I don't think he knew their keeper was coming all the way out and going to ground before he shoved Romero though.

9 times out of 10, their keeper stays on the line and Brobbey's push on Romero is probably blown up for a soft free kick.

Agree with this. There was some good punditry on this point too. The injury that came as a consequence of the push was unfortunate, but the push itself was not a yellow card offence.

The Spurs echo chamber is of course making Brobbey out to be some kind of criminal for the push and the earlier non-elbow. He was in reality giving as good as he got in a physical game.

I don't know in what universe Pedro Porro thought he was going to wrestle Brobbey off the ball mind - he then massively exaggerates a tiny bit of accidental contact to the face, before Brobbey got annoyed and shoved him straight into the shadow realm.

Spurs just gone get it
You could see yesterday why they down there, a soft touch all over the park
Their defenders were physically tested all game by Brobbey and guess what they hated it
Compare it to Solanke, easy to play against for our centre halves

This is getting out of hand
Happening far too often now.

As our club statement says, that’s now 3 players to suffer abuse in recent times (Mundle, Geertruida, and now Brobbey).

Solanke just aimlessly ran around like a headless chicken, rarely putting any meaningful pressure on our defenders.

He was like James Vaughan was for us.

It’s hilarious they paid best part of 70 million for him

Poor Porro. He just wanted a lickle piggy back ride.

He’s presently just leaving a trail of devastation.
Burn and Joelinton both downed in one hit against the Mags.
Kinksy and Romero in one hit against Spurs plus Porro downed.

I think he was lucky to get away with the injury to Romero
The yellow wasn’t a yellow. Porro the horrible little weasel bounced off him holding his face. The arm swing didn’t even connect. I just gave Porro license to roll about like he’d been shot. If Romero and Porro are their leaders they are fucked and are going down.
I like him me. I dont think his yellow was even a foul and certainly not an elbow.

Be interesting to see him in a more attacking team as although we didnt see it today I think there is a cleverness in his movement. (As seen in his goal at Newcastle)
I wasn’t a foul. Porro bounced off him and was already on his way to the ground. The arm went up and it gave the weasely little fucker license to go on like he’d just been shot

This is how I saw it.

I felt Spurs were targeting him. Van Der Ven and Romero were definitely trying to rough him up

It’s pretty obvious that every club are talking about him prior to playing us as every team is putting its most physical defender on him. I think the Palace lad Max Lacroix probably handled him as good as any but it’s obvious he’s unsettling foreign defenders who’ve never seen anything like him.
