County Cricket 2026

Found the sub rules here. Apparently there's no limit on how many you can have.

Fairly sure that’ll change. There’s a lot of fine tuning to do. I think a lot of people are already quite uneasy as to how many have happened just 2 weeks in.

I would make it compulsory to miss the next CC game rather than just an 8 day gap, as there are some long gaps between games during the season.

Crawley fails again. 60 runs in four innings so far this season.

Take him about 25 innings at this rate just to get up to McKinney’s score from yesterday.

Surprised they’re going ahead with this signing. After his behaviour in SA I’d have told him to shove it.
Crawley out for 5, leading edge

Can I take this opportunity to congratulate you and your football team on today’s magnificent performance 😎

However, it’s looking like two games without a win to start the season for Surrey. (Bloody long way to go mind…) What are the feelings amongst the members regarding this season?! Confident of a title win? You must be frustrated by the lack of threat the bowlers have posed through two games though.

Derbyshire need 138 on the final day to get a win at Lancs, if they get over the line it will put half of Div.2 on one win from their first two games.

Really fancy Derbyshire this year. Abbas is a great signing, Jewell, Reece, Andersson, Madsen and Chappell rarely let anyone down and Bashir gives them something different if he can find form.

Anyone take anything from that club at face value?
Neither of the injured players are allowed to play next week though. You have to sit out for 8 days if replaced.

Despite the farce of their situation that i've outlined on the Will Smeed thread. Nothing necessarily untoward

Notts have replaced Fergus O'Neill today for Lyndon James after former had played a starring role for them.

James has then took 2 in 2 overs and broken a defiant 17 over blockathon from Dickson and Cooke. Notts now will definitely win their game.

Notts don't play next week so the injury sub feels more them playing the game under the new rules.

Whilst I generally support the idea of substitutes in four day cricket, I worry the start of the season has seen far too many teams/players taking advantage of it.
