Theyre getting nothing close to what they paid for any of them, and based on this season they need replacing.

But yeah, PSR only holds them back. Rarely hear any other clubs mention it

It was an awful recruitment strategy. They paid galactico fees for average players and kept roughly the same squad size, knowing they'd have a shit load of extra European fixtures. I think they were hoying money about trying to keep up this charade about being the richest club in the world to appease the hordes rather than actually attempting to push on.

They'll lose money on Waltermade too, especially if the only option is a move abroad
 
The one thing you really cannot do in the PSR age is sell players for a loss.

Hard to see a world in which they'd get near to making what they spent on Elanga, Wissa, Ramsey and Woltemede, to name a few.

There'll no doubt be a couple of dodgy PSR deals with Forest in the works, if they stay up.

Topping £200m with Ramsey in there too. While he's probably been the best of the bunch that's £40m+ on a player who's never been a game changer.

They'll moan and say PSR cost them Elliott Anderson but as a club in European competition they have to abide by UEFA spending rules anyway. It's just bad planning that put them in the shit and bad decisions trying to be clever around transfers that's made things worse.

yes indeed it is.
The problem is the manager. Tactically inept. If they have Pep, im sure they'll be in CL position every season.
Aint my problem, im happy with the way sunderland are doing now.
