The 4 above the focus now

Likewise Bournemouth if they beat the Mags
Aye. Still a few teams in the mix like. It’ll be the teams that goes on a run that gets that last two spaces. I’d take a draw on Sunday then come back & look to beat Forest (which in itself could be a difficult game cos they might see a point as a good one & defend).
That's what scares me. We don't have a second team. Our second team really is of Championship level because most of them are our Championship players.
We didn’t have a Premier League team in May though.

Belgrade and Zagreb seem a bit edgy, to say the least. Places like Bruges, Rennes or Florence would be mint though

If we do somehow make it into the Conference League, and it would a massive effort on the part of the team, I would just be elated to play the likes of BK Haken, Omonia Nicosia and Jagiellonia. Mind you Larnaca sounds like a terrific game to see. I don't know if theirs flights to there from Newcastle International Airport but I would love to go there, have a holiday, and I don't know if it's one of those holiday spots, and see the game. But then I can't see games here so the odds of me getting to see away games when it is in Spain are even less.

Was just about to post the same.
I don't think some people have grasped ambition of the owner yet
I’ll be honest, I didn’t see a way we didn’t struggle like fuck in this league. Probably even in August I was unsure.

But we’re a year on from people saying they didn’t want to get promoted cos they didn’t want to see us getting beat every week. Yet a year down the line people are still coming out with the same shite in a different setting.

The basics are, you aim to be as successful as you can be in whatever position you find yourself in. At the minute, the biggest success we can achieve is grabbing a place in a European competition. Let’s just f***ing want it & deal with the step up & challenges when they arrive, like we did the premier league.

Supporters not wanting to succeed to preserve mediocrity man, mental bastards.

Do I want Europe? I have spent years envying the teams who are in Europe. But then I look at clubs like Nottingham Forest who are in relegation trouble because they are in Europe. But I then think do I crave it enough to think that’s a position worth getting ourselves into if it means we are in Europe next season? Absolutely.

But then I think would survival not be the only way to get the money to create a squad who can play in the league and in Europe? I think yes. But then I think would 6th give us both. The money to create a team capable of playing in the league and in Europe and European football? I think it would certainly do that. To do that we need all of the teams above us to lose.

We can’t rely on teams like Man City finishing top and for Chelsea to win the FA Cup and for Liverpool to turn water into wine. We must try to finish as high up as we can.
You should. But only if were play away in Milan.

Since no mackem has ever been sighted there. Factamundo.

👏👏
No idea how people would almost want us to lose some games so we don't end up in Europe.
It baffles me.

You've got to factor in the amount of mags that get on here who of course want us to lose all our games and then there are unfortunately a few nutcases that apparently follow us.

BRENTFORD Fulham
Spurs BRIGHTON
CHELSEA Man u
EVERTON Liverpool
Can only see a definite Brentford win out of those this weekend. Villa will be tough but coming off a Thursday game in Europe may play into our hands.
Game on.
I would be surprised if it was anything other than a win for Brighton at Spurs.

Fulham are a very decent side. Don’t think that’s a definite Brentford win at all.

Yes, this is true, but we have some promising youngsters and you would hope that a combination of these players can be expected to be competitive against Cypriot and Irish teams like Palace have played (I know Port Vale etc. but these teams are at likely at a lower level than league one.

Considering Gergusyan is getting senior caps for Armenia he can be expected to be competitive against Armenian teams (for example)
Totally agree. In some group games you could play the likes of Seelt, Hjelde, Browne, fuck it give Ba and Hemir a run out.
Yeah, I was thinking more of players like Geragusyan (considering that he is getting caps for Armenia, he can be trsuted to play against Armenian teams- and the three Jones most of the players mentioned will probably be back out on loan or gone (Seelt might stay if Wolfsburg dont buy him and maybe Hjelde). And then we have a number of young players like Mayenda, Ta Bi, Abdullahi even that will be available for extra game time.

Like so many of our older fans (( I’m 75 ) I have longed to see us play in Europe before I die.
Me and my eldest son were discussing if there were any places we wouldn’t want to go,
Our list …..Istanbul, Marseille, Naples..
Any one else you don’t want to play .
Hibs
Motherwell
Linfield
Shamrock Rovers
Inter Cardiff

Forest aren’t in relegation trouble because of Europe, they hired a director who fell out with their manager and their owner is a basket case making crazy hire time and time again

Beat Villa only 6 points behind with 5 to play and can overturn GD if we go on a run…

It’s NF or Spurs going down my thoughts
