I don't think that push on Romero was a yellow as you see it loads when a striker gives a defender a shove like that. but the 1st one below I wouldn't complain if was given as a yellow. Gifs below may take some time to load but most of this below is Thor'd from the ref thread. That’s a yellow card offence imo, so he’s lucky in that sense.
The first yellow was soft so it evens out though.![]()
They can’t likeHe nearly killed that Porro just by shielding the ball.
It’s absolutely class to watch as a Sunderland fan mind. None of the defenders can deal with him.
I totally understand why we don't but would love it if we tried Isidor up top with him.
Meant to be Diarrawe don’t play to his strengths though.
He needs somebody running off him.
The wide players should be cutting in running off him, the midfield need to be getting up there, supporting him more.
It’s not happening though and the rest need to support as well.Meant to be Diarra
You said we'd lose 0-3I think he was lucky to get away with the injury to Romero
Don't think we were watching the same game today ..This happened around 6 or 7 times, but a duff touch, over hit pass, or defender block snookered the move. Think it was very clear today this was a plan, it just didn't quite come off in a way that resulted in much of a clear chance.we don’t play to his strengths though.

That's Diarras role really. He was a lot more involved today and really looked to have a good connection - shame the final ball wasn't there or we could have had a hatful. Diarra caused massive problems and we need to see that more. I also prefer the two cut-in playmakers wide and let Mukiele and Reinildo offer the width, gets more players nearer Brobbey which is a bonus.we don’t play to his strengths though.

I'd already written the text to my Mrs to say he'd been sent off! Was so sure he was goneI think he was lucky to get away with the injury to Romero
We signed him in the last hour of the summer window amazingThis lad is an absolute machine. Today again, he played with his back to the defence and held up the ball superbly, seemingly always with an eye to play the ball on. Lovely link up play with Sadiki especially. He has an eye for goal aswell.
He causes defenders so many problems, the lad never stops. He's catching the eye of many because of his play and it's no suprise. I can't think of any other striker/forward in the league as physical as this lad. What a signing.
It's more the lunging that worries me with him, more generally. Seems to like to rake his feet in to try and win the ball and is often a bit late and a bit high. In the VAR era, they love that kind of shit. Got away with one similar against the Mags at home too iirc. Definitely not a major concern though and can be coached out of him relatively easily - especially as a striker who just doesn't need to be doing itI don't think that push on Romero was a yellow as you see it loads when a striker gives a defender a shove like that. but the 1st one below I wouldn't complain if was given as a yellow. As for the actual yellow he got, given the ref's position I can see why he thinks it's a yellow as Brobbey's elbow does catch Porro's chin, albeit not that hard. It was initially a free kick to us as Porro was all over the back of Brobbey but Brobbey is taking that ball all day long anyway. However yet again Brobbey grabs the shirt of a defender and then pushes his body back and moves his arm and his elbow must brush Porro's mush but nowt much in it but then helps shove Porro to the deck. Given the ref's position, viewing angle and watching in real-time speed then it's understandable how he can mistakenly see it as an elbow.
Brobbey ideally needs to cut down on shirt pulling as refs can see this more clearly unlike his strength of holding a player off. I think this is why he doesn't get as many fouls as some think he should. It's clear here that Brobbey has the strength even though Porro's is clambering all over him to get to the ball, unable to even move Brobbeyand Brobbey has the option of playing the ball as Porro is nowhere near.

Out of the 3, this is the one I'd book him for. Romero knows Brobbey is coming and tried to jump but Brobbey catches the side of Romero's left leg at the knee and also possibly hooks his foot. After he got booked he did seem to he keep a cool head the rest of the game and enjoyed Van de Ver getting booked.

It'll come in the morning, won't be anyone left in the club at 9pm on a Sunday nightSurprised there hasn’t been a statement put out about the racism he’s got on instagram like, fuck me its shocking
Had some alleged issues with blackmail from gang criminalsRidiculous bargain for this league. No idea what happened to him at ajax but he was being touted around for ridiculous sums when he was 21
You are not going to out physical Brobbey in a standing one on one position.I am not an armchair fan and today I witnessed something I missed regarding the big man.
I had not realised the turn of speed this blokes has from a standing position. I bet he does well in the training sprint challenges.
Mayenda would the 1 to pair with Brobbey for meI totally understand why we don't but would love it if we tried Isidor up top with him.
Really? Haven't seen anything about this. If so there's some utter f***ing bastards about and we know that. FFSSurprised there hasn’t been a statement put out about the racism he’s got on instagram like, fuck me its shocking
