According to an article on the BBC web site if Liverpool win the Champions League and finish 5 th in the Premier League then the team finishing 6th in the Prem gets a spot in the Champions League. Unfortunately they are 2-0 down to PSG.
Would have been good to play Chelsea last game of the season for 6th place.

We are 3 points from 6th. Chelsea in 6th, in 7th is Brentford, 8th is Everton and 9th is Brighton with us 10th.
Chelsea have Man United at home, Brentford play Fulham, Everton have the small matter of their odious rivals L**er**ol’ and Brighton play Spurs.
We need all four to lose or drop points to get to 6th and Europe.

So 7th is guarenteed Europe.
8th is also Europe as long as city or Chelsea win the cup.
