The chance might not come again for years. When we came 7th twice, I was just a young boy and thought it would always be like that, little did I know it would be 25 years until the chance came again.

More to do with the attacking mid / wingers we have. Thats the main difference to a top 6 side. Hopefully our lads are clicking at the right time to give us a chance

This isn't quite the full picture. Those extra places aren't going to the league - Villa or Forest would be the extra team in the Champions League if they win the Europa. In Villa's case, they're going to qualify anyway, so it's not going to be an extra place. Likewise, Palace would get the extra Europa League spot, so that's only relevant if they finish above us.

It's been a strange one, great start to the season, awful December & January when games are non stop, picked it up again now the injuries have calmed down.

Going out of both domestic cups early hads probably mitigated the extra games in Europe.

Absolutely worth it though.

So i guess the only solution to the issue is a bigger squad ?
