Legends Way fan vote: choose the 14 legends

Absolute joke Jill Scott has got a stone. No chance she was in the top 14 votes either.

Didn't play 1 game for the first team and hasn't been at the club since.

Disrespectful to many others on the list.
I love got huge respect for Jill Scott & what she’s done for women’s football. My daughter is 9 & plays, so people like her have become important to me cos I want her to have female role models too.

But it’s baffling she was even considered for a vote, never mind winning a place. She had the place to tick boxes before the vote was even announced.

No problem at all with putting a woman in there. But even then it shouldn't be her

Some embarrassing picks there, why they should let a panel of experts pick. Buchan, Allan, Doig Halliday, Gurney glaring omissions.

Reid, Defoe, Scott, Murray? Ahead of the man that literally founded the club and our record ever goal scorer. Madness
Lad in work in his 20s said he hadn’t heard of half of the list, so they weren’t getting his vote.

I think naturally those that vote will have a slight bias towards people they’ve seen play. Defoe in particular seems a bizarre one for me. Some great memories, but my last memory is him f***ing off with a play off campaign round the corner.

Bob Murray, for all of the fantastic things he’s left as a legacy had some stinking times as well. His book should have been named “it was never my fault”.
Where's the full list of winners?
Read them out at half time. Not sure if they’re published yet,

Agreed. I googled cos I thought she’d never actually played for us.

There’s quite a few that’s played for us & went on to win trophies with England.

It's a generation vote, not everyone will be voting for the same person as some have never heard of the player

Beth Mead would have also been a better bet. I’d still say someone like Ramshaw would be more deserving, but Mead won a few trophies here before going on the much better things with Arsenal & England.

Remember when Mead first arrived and there was talk she would be the best female footballer in the world one day.

I suppose the club can't change the names now they've announced them but maybe they need to expand the number of names to include bona fide legends decided by a panel who are highly knowledgeable of the club's history.

The only argument for Defoe is the Bradley Lowery stuff. He is absolutely a million miles from a legend for on the pitch performance.

Reid and Defoe were not even on the shortlist. Snacks of wanting some people alive and available to attend an unveiling to me.

Murray, Reid, Defoe, Scott are embarrassing selections.

Can’t tell me that Scott got more votes than SKP & Quinny

Murray has the gates. Shouldn’t have been an option

Just posted this in the Legend's Way thread but maybe deserves its own:

They are asking us to vote on the 14 legends to be represented along the line:

Opportunity to recognise older legends from our real golden eras before our lifetimes IMO.

Shortlist (though there is an opportunity to nominate others once you have submitted):
