"Sometimes emotional....not always easy to manage...

...at half time for example......but it shows that they care"

RLB in his press conference talking about the mentality of the players. I can imagine it was emotional in the away dressing room at SJP but clearly the desire of the players was there to turn it around and we saw that straight from the kick off.
I really cant see our group of players "coasting" to the season end , think we will win tomorrow and finish the season strongly.
So proud of our team this season ( as i was last season tbf )

Absolutely....i know they will probably say that they only concentrate on one game at a time but surely they have looked at the fixtures left, seen that they have to play Forest, Spurs and Wolves, and know that a massive opportunity is potentially there for them. That starts with the Spurs game and if Sunderland want it more than Spurs ( and i think they will ) we will win

Half time down v mags. Above quote tells me they were saying the likes of " we can't let our fans down v these black and white bastsrds , so let's gerrin to them, fuck them up.
I agree but not only that i think the conversation was if we step it up we can win and thats exactlyy what they did. There is great belief in our squad

When you consider what he said about his reasons for joining us, I reckon he will take the idea of challenging for European football as an absolute validation of his decision. As captain he will not accept anyone taking their foot off the gas.

I already thought he was the best captain we’ve had since Steve Bould. After what Luke Onien said after the mags game, I honestly think he’s the best captain we’ve ever had in my 50-odd years of supporting Sunderland.
