Could Leicester go bust?

Aye Leicester could have a premier League payroll in L1. Uh oh
Haha we know all to well what that is like. Could take them a few years to recover from that. Although we were ran by absolute clowns so we made a massive f***ing job of getting out of league one. They’re gonna have to slash that squad to bits and out faith in a fair few from the academy. The quicker they come to terms with that the quicker they can rebuild. Wonder if we take another look at that wide player we’ve been linked with.

Serves them right.

Even the year they got promoted (the time they ended up going on to win the league) they also breached financial regulations and got away with it.

They've done it continuously and it would be brilliant if the (totally insufficient) 6 point deduction is ultimately what sends them into oblivion.
Aye, after they won the Premier League they threw everything at trying to stay up there and get the big money Champions League again. They kept failing to get CL all while they threw loads of money at players wages with wages exceeding revenue in 2022/23. It all caught up with them and they're well in the shit now. Also bear in mind they were also pulling in decent money selling Kante, Drinkwater, Mahrez, Maguire and Chilwell.

We went through the same thing remember and had 4 years in league 1. We can smile maybe but shouldn’t be laughing it’s awful for the fans and the mismanagement of our club is so recent it’s still raw. We’ve had a good few years but we aren’t far away from going down and struggling keep grounded everyone.
You might not be far away from going down, but if you can cut some more of the dead wood along with Trippier & Schar and manage your fans' expectations around incomings, your owners should be able to steady the financial ship.

There's no way they're changing the delusions of grandeur habits of the 1992'ers now infiltrated with the 2021'ers 🤣

They will still expect top signings but the dreams of Ronaldo cleaning the boots, Messi selling the pies, Victoria Beckham washing the strips, Pep Guardiola cutting the grass, Klopp making the tea for the richest klerb in the wurld are dead now and it's time for them to sell better players and spend wisely or else they'll end up with big wages taking up most of their revenue.

Of course not. Win the league, cups, Europe and slide down the leagues, absolutely yes. To risk going out of business, fuck no, safc is a generational thing and I love the idea of my great great grandkids who I’ve never met going to watch Sunderland telling their mates their great great grandad came here in 1997. It’s ludicrous and selfish to say you’d give away something as precious as safc to future generations just so you can have your trophy win.
Reality is the company goes out of business, or at least shafts its creditors through some CVA, but the football “club” never does. It’s the local businesses that genuinely do go bust on the back of the football club managing to avoid paying them that you should really feel sorry for.
