Of course not. Win the league, cups, Europe and slide down the leagues, absolutely yes. To risk going out of business, fuck no, safc is a generational thing and I love the idea of my great great grandkids who I’ve never met going to watch Sunderland telling their mates their great great grandad came here in 1997. It’s ludicrous and selfish to say you’d give away something as precious as safc to future generations just so you can have your trophy win.

They're not interested in football unlike their Dad. Same thing happened with Blackburn and their local benefactor.

I think it’s more the fact he took over all of his dads business interests which were on its arse after covid due to the travel regulations and not as much spend on duty free.

In terms of priorities, a football club is likely low down on that list.

Definitely ... does any established, traditional football club ever disappear after administration or liquidation ?

Would you risk doing a ‘Bury’ for two or three seasons of off the charts success?
There’s no way I would want either my nor your scenario.
Football finance is completely screwed. Liverpool last year spends £115m on Isak and are in the news this year for sniffing around Olise at £170m. How is any club meant to compete with that?

There's a big difference between liquidation and administration. Leicester football club aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

We didn't go bust and done all that anyway and all we got from it was a League Cup Final and two absolute donkeys in the process who nearly ruined the club. If the Chuckle Brothers were still in charge, I'd happily take administration to get shot of them like Sheffield Wednesday, we weren't going anywhere under them.

Serves them right.

Even the year they got promoted (the time they ended up going on to win the league) they also breached financial regulations and got away with it.

They've done it continuously and it would be brilliant if the (totally insufficient) 6 point deduction is ultimately what sends them into oblivion.

Most people were pleased they were champions but I lost respect for them when they turned up at Sunderland and acted like they were the big boys. Perhaps Sunderland fans would do the same in their shoes but we aren't in their shoes.

Aye, they purposefully ignored the rules thinking that they'd be competing for Europe in the Prem and wouldn't have to deal with any repercussions.
