Totally get that. We’d been guaranteed 3rd place for weeks and knew we were never going up automatically, so it’s an entirely different scenario.
Boro were in the top 2 a fortnight ago and now their form is shite, so I stand by my original post, that they’ll not go up, and their form is the worst of the top 6

Definitely a different type of thing for Boro. They may well be able to switch it on when they get to the semis, but they’ve definitely not fallen off to protect fitness.Totally get that. We'd been guaranteed 3rd place for an eternity and ended up finishing 4th.
Millwall also beat them last home game
As I said when we were wobbling last season, and as proved correct, league position matters more than momentum. The side that finishes sixth on the back of a couple of wins is still the side that finishes sixth. That said, you can see Southampton finishing third the way they’re going. So perhaps you’re right.
