1 point to go

But but we came up from the playoffs as well. I still don’t understand Leeds and Burnley fans banging on about that points gap. It meant absolutely nowt the fact we were pretty equal in our head to heads with them infact had the better of Burnley which we should’ve beaten twice meant more than that points gap. We stopped playing the last six or so and those two needed to keep going to secure a top two spot.

That's not closing the gap, closing the gap would be us also on 20 points. We have made up the 24 points gap and stuck another 23 on top of that.....a 47 point swung from last season.

We were informed by Leeds and Burnley fans at the start of the season that we were starting with -24 points though?

I wont sleep untill we achieve it.😁
Leeds still look like they will relegate us though. 14 points behind them

I remember it being a talking point across the pundits as well. None of them, or at least very few, seemed to take into account it was basically a whole new team that started the season to the one that ended the previous.

It didn’t make any sense, we clearly had taken our foot off and like you say we had signed a whole new team. It was a proper strange talking point, I just didn’t get it.

I can understand people thinking will a whole new team be able to gel quickly but it seemed that none of the pundits even checked out who we had signed and what pedigree they had. They seemed more like us fans who hadn't heard of any of them.

So many variables too, we clearly pulled back those last six or so games preparing for the playoffs while Leeds and Burnley didn’t as they had a race with sheff Utd so had to go all out.

That's true but we would have still been miles behind their points totals if we had put out our best available for the last 6 games tbf.

We might have won them all 🤣 like I say too many variables. Leicester were a few games from relegation then won the league shows why it’s almost impossible to read what next season brings based on the season before.
