Concur. It's a highly tactical game and a fair balance between batting and fielding. T20 is just who can slog the most sixes.

Went to watch the first couple of sessions at the Oval today. Smith batted really well, and didn’t take any risks at all.
It’s also amazing how Pope can still look frenetic when getting a ton! Nearly caught on 99, makes a 100, nearly caught again the ball after, and then out for 103.

I thought it might have been tactical as clearly was a spicy bowling pitch for Leach to waste some balls for the proper batsman.Just wondered that
But Tom Kohler-Cadmore is injured and would have opened. So has been replaced by Will Smeed(for his FC debut) who's not their as with their seconds today scoring a double hundred.
That's ridiculous when Archie Vaughan is in their squad and was an opening bat for them not that long ago.

He’s quality. Think his brain was just completely fried by the end of the Ashes. Sure he just became a dad over the winter too.
Think he will eventually lose the gloves and move up the order for England.

He was frazzled after continuous Cricket for several months. He's now had a good rest and getting good batting practise early order with Surrey. He's still though not getting the norm workload of both batting and keeping in the same game.
