Think he looked like a potentially good player who was completely caught out by the speed of the game. Think it was Liverpool on his debut, looked surprised how fast people were on him once he had the ball.

Him getting on the pitch here & there before the summer will hopefully help him get up to speed with that asked ready for next year.
 

Ecudor manager has done similar with other players and has been quoted as Angulo is a starter at the WC so just wanted him around the squad, which is fair enough and I doubt no real harm done. The more minutes he gets this season will help him next.

Lot of bairns on here and on socials who lash out at players if they do something wrong, then call them better than Messi when we win. Par for the course unfortunately...

We are in a much better position for next season than a lot of people think. We have completely overhauled the squad over 2 transfer windows bar a few players. Including a lot of young players.

By the time we kick off next season, they will have all had a chance to fully settle in and get to know each other.

The future is bright even if we only make 1 or 2 shrewd signings in the summer...

Even the young lads who haven’t had as good an output as Talbi shouldn’t be wrote off. They’re young and still maturing as footballers and all have shown some promising signs.

Some are keen to get rid of Diarra as an example, I find that baffling.

It's bizarre. Diarra has played 16 games for Sunderland (and scored 3 goals btw, from CM) and he's only just gone 22 and playing abroad for the first time. Yes he had a few crap games, but he's got some very useful attributes and he'll get better.

He’s had a very serious injury too. Some just assume he should be immediately at Xhaka’s level.

Bit of patience will go a long way for our young lads - Diarra being one of them.

Wasn’t that long ago that a lot were writing off Rigg too. He’s only 18 ffs.
 
A lot more to come from him, and the other young lads next season after settling in and finding their feet in the PL.

The future looks bright.

IMO if we want to kick on we need 1 ready made first teamer for the Right side. Ideally someone who will chip in with 5-10 goals. For me it would be the most important and biggest spend of the summer
