30,000+ season tickets sold

Over 30 years supporting SAFC but why does that matter.

Demand for tickets is already very high so they don't need to lie about how many are on the waiting list and if they were found out making up numbers the backlash wouldn't be worth it.

You seem very trusting the club don’t tell lies.

Good on you, me, I know it’s a lie.
It it makes you feel warm and fussy then you go….

100% if SAFC sent an email to all 15k asking for them to pay £5 via the link provided to secure their place on a waiting list for next season the uptake will wont be anywhere near 15k.

when it comes to people putting hands in their pockets no matter how small the fee...some suddenly don't want a ticket anymore.

I organsised a stag doo to liverpool once and had 56 names on the list of people wanting to go....asked for £10 deposit each ....that list went from 56 to 26

For years, I used to arrange all the lads trips (races, weekends away etc). A few years ago, I stopped because I always ended up out of pocket. The amount of tight arses that either wouldn’t pay or paid less then they should have took the piss.

this is exactly it. the same with the waiting list, the minute you charge to put your name on the list then you separate the genuine ones and the ones that just put their name on it to say that their names on it that have zero intention of paying £600 for a season ticket.

i gave up with organizing lads trips years ago, like you said you always end up out of pocket.

if the trip is £54 you get £50 off someone....and you adding the extra 😂

My favourite one is when I was sorting a weekend away. One of the lads was desperate to go but was apparently skint. He asked if I could pay for him and then I’d get the money a couple of weeks later. I reluctantly agreed.

Two days later, it was Sheff Wed away (the 3-0 on the Friday night) and as I got on the bus the f***ing cheeky twat was sitting at the front drinking cans in his new stone island jumper. He f***ing shit himself 😂😂.

I agree about the waiting list by the way. If they had to pay, it wouldn’t be 15,000.

I was told down Bournemouth by someone who works for the club that it was a tad over 2,000. Absolutely no reason for him to tell me incorrect info, especially something so non descriptive to club info.

Personally I think 2,000 sounds way too low but I was surprised when they said as many as 15,000.

But just read another comment saying 15k isn't confirmed by the club.

Once the deadlines done and over with and inevitably some will have completely ignored it, I know the next calamity will be an existing ST holder has moved into their seat

The vast majority will have been
Agree, I know it’s a small sample but all the faces around me in the South Stand in every direction for a good couple of rows are the same faces who’ve been there for years, including all the League One years and double relegation. It’s the same where me dad sits in the North East Corner as well, in fact quite a few there (my Dad being one) have been in the exact same seats since the stadium opened. I used to sit with him but gravitated towards the South West Corner and then South Stand (via a brief stint in the NWC).
