100%14k waiting list sounds like porkies to me, just trying to make people shite themselves into buying corporate tickets instead
Those extra 22,000 are no worse thought of by the club than lifers either. We could barely get 40,000 when doing well in the Championship and now we suddenly have 62,000 fans.
Annoys me, that.
More chance of me and Sydney Sweeney going to sheepfolds.Any indication of how and when they are going to invite applications for the unused season tickets. I am not hopeful as I would want 3 together which seems a big ask.
Surely if you're taking her anywhere it would be your scratcher?More chance of me and Sydney Sweeney going to sheepfolds.
I'll save her the disappointmentSurely if you're taking her anywhere it would be your scratcher?
But you’d always be over the f***ing moon you disappointed her, if you didI'll save her the disappointment
It's 100% going to happen.Wonder how many fuckwits forget to renew and then whine like fuck
Youd have to go back to 99-01 to see full houses every week?. This isn't a criticism of our fans, just the reality is when you see highlights of most games since, we haven't sold out. Saying all that I watched a video on the growth of average attendances over the past decade and west ham was top due their new stadium, they've gained a whopping 27k extra on their average attendance. Funnily enough the world's best supporters, Leeds attendances are up 14k in average in that timeWe could barely get 40,000 when doing well in the Championship and now we suddenly have 62,000 fans.
Annoys me, that.
Anyone know what the process will be for those on the waiting list?
I’ll be staggered if that number is anywhere near accurate. Our Championship and League One crowds were tremendous and I say all the time our hardcore is the loyalist there is imo, but I don’t see at all how so many extra Sunderland fans are supposedly interested enough suddenly (especially when all of the current 38k haven’t even renewed) or that there’d be the tourist/student/casual fan demand in our part of the world willing to stump up the financial outlay season tickets now cost. Maybe different if we were fully established after years in this division and consistently doing well.We could barely get 40,000 when doing well in the Championship and now we suddenly have 62,000 fans.

I’d say so mate. I think a lot on the list who want one will get something sorted.I’ll be staggered if that number is anywhere near accurate. As an example, I’ve been happy doing 8-10 games a season for the last 20 years or so. I have a concern that if we continue our progress it’s going to get to the point where I am struggling to get a ticket, now we are threatening to be good, ie Europe a possibility. For that reason I’ve placed myself on the waiting list.I’ll be staggered if that number is anywhere near accurate. I'm going there on Friday. I'll keep an eye for the two of youMore chance of me and Sydney Sweeney going to sheepfolds.
I’m sure there’ll be many more like you mate. I just find 15,000 a hard figure to believe based on our attendance history, last recent Premier League crowds, the fact that while our League 1 and Championship crowds were great we weren’t packing the place out, the fact that at the last count thousands of current holders hadn’t renewed yet. It just seems on the high side.As an example, I’ve been happy doing 8-10 games a season for the last 20 years or so.
