End of season Premier league managerial changes

Turnip from the Tip

Lost Magpie
Could be an unprecedented number of departures this summer. Almost half the clubs potentially changing.

Which of the following or others are likely to be sacked or walk away?

Glasner - confirmed
Slot - CL or bust
Rosenior - out of his depth
Pep - likely to walk?
Howe - I have a feeling he walks away
Iraola - will have suitors, contract up?
Marco Silva - out of contract
Carrick - interim but likely to get it full time

Some big jobs. Will any of those clubs try to lure RLB from us?

I still think Regis will leave.
Ordinarily you’d think no chance after this season. But if he’s missing any kind of targets set out by the club it seems second chances are hard earned. It’d certainly be bold but KLD doesn’t stand still

I’d be absolutely amazed if there were any other targets at the start of the season other than survival and beating the mags at least once.

The thing that might make him
Vulnerable would be if he was Speakman’s man and KLD has a long standing interest in another coach who becomes available (and I aren’t talking Will Still!).

Never even crossed my mind about Howe and Bournemouth but he'd be a fool not to get out of the mags if the position becomes available
I’m not sure he’d want to back for a third stint there. It’s an obvious link, but I don’t think you go from Newcastle back to Bournemouth.

He might decide to see what happens with England at the World Cup or possibly Palace or Fulham he wants to move back down south

No. I love Regis but he’s been found wanting at times these last 2-3 months. Lets see how we finish the season. This mini break will give us a chance to get a lot of players back fit and firing.

Bournemouth and Fulham might be a concern where RLB is concerned. I think both Iraola and Silva will leave their respective clubs at the end of the season.

However, I think it’s more likely that he is around next season with hopefully another exciting transfer window and season ahead. He is an intelligent man, and I think he will know that he will most probably not get what he’s got at SAFC anywhere else.

Which managers wouldn’t be found wanting at times with the injuries and absences he had to contend with since late December?

Can see there being interest from Fulham, Palace, and Bournemouth for RLB. It makes sense that they'd look with them all needed new Head Coaches, and everyone has seen how well RLB has taken to the PL, which is something some HC's from different leagues struggle with.

No idea if he goes, but they are 3 good established clubs that would be tempting for RLB, depending on what his own future looks like here.

don't forget De Zerbi's relegation break clause

Expect Howe will go back to Bournemouth
Iraola to Spain somewhere - maybe Real
Alonso to Liverpool
none of the others will leave apart from Glasner
Iraola would likely rather give the game away altogether than go to Real Madrid
He’s a Basque through and through
Real was the club of Franco and the hatred continues to run deep
RLB doesnt have runs on the board to go to a club like Liverpool, City or Chelsea
