Aaron Ramsey

“Retires with immediate effect “ always sounds like there’s a contractual deadline that’s being met.
Best of luck to him regardless. That run by Wales in 2016 was a fun time for me.

Keith Chegwin, Moria Stewart, Jon Bon Jovi, Nigel Kennedy and all the other famous people I’ve missed off my list all breathe a collective sigh of relief. ⚽💀

He was incredible for a spell at Arsenal. Up there with the best in the PL at one point
Saw a highlight reel online today, scored some excellent goals, high quality improvised finishes. He could never stay fit though after that leg break and was another Arsenal player made of glass that just seemed to be constantly injured. Good fa cup finals record tho

So he missed about 20 games a season thru injury? And then played 40 games in 3 seasons at Juve

It may come as surprise but footballers do suffer injuries.

39 appearances on average over an 8 year period is not what I would classify as constantly injured.

He missed 34 games in the last 3 seasons at Arsenal (just a quick look so could be a couple out) he does seem to get more injuries than the average player and had a lot of niggles.

Transfer market has him having 7 different injuries during the 2 years at juve none long term but he just seemed really unlucky, got a mate who’s a rangers fan and that was her opinion of him, just couldn’t seem to get 100% fit.

He could never be relied on fitness-wise. Just your typical soft Arsenal player. Him, Wilshere and Van Persie made of spaghetti hoops and would always be out when you needed them to be fit. I often wonder if it's why lego heid has built us a team of 6ft tanks as he had to play in the same team as those 3 permacrocks.

The fifteenth highest scoring EPL player of all time couldn’t be relied upon and was permacrocked, right……

If you mean RVP, he scored 45% of his Arsenal goals in an 18 month period where he actually managed to remain fit. If he hadn’t had as many injuries he’d have been higher up the scoring charts for sure.

On average over the 8 years with us he started 26 games a season. And only in his final season and a bit he could be relied on fitness wise. But maybe your definition of being relied on is different to mine. Or maybe you watched a different Arsenal to me

By definition, you can’t be one of the highest scoring strikers of all time and permacrocked or unreliable.

Essentially, you are criticizing him for not being perfect. Any team at any time would take RVP.

Also, he was quite young and raw during his first few years which will have limited his game time and goals. Especially given he was competing with Henry, Bergkamp, Reyes etc.

RVP averaged 35 appearances a year over his time at Arsenal, Bergkamp 38, was he permacrocked and not be relied upon?
