Swindon Town 25/26 thread

Sadly deserve so much better.
Club is rotten to the core.

Not a fooking chance mate. In fairness I have gone past caring now.

I wouldn’t say resilience. Sounds more like Holloway.
Poor finishing from Cambridge, luck and an excellent keeper performance from Ripley.

We are simply not good enough.
If we went up would come straight back down.
Until things chance off the field then nothing changes.

The daft lads now want to stay up Friday night in Grimsby for the last game.
Now early kick off.
The upper points are irrelevant to most fans, just get it done & see where it takes STFC. You overthink the future, very few in football know what will happen in 6mths time. If you went up there'd be a different class & style/type of player(s) brought in - the game's a speculation dream-world for fans. This season's squad arguably aren't good enough for L1 which is when the manager earns his salary.

Obviously the last game shenanigans are the cherry on the cake & arguably why fans attend away games!
Just watched ext highlights; is your version of being sh*te the same as playing (defending) compactly & on the break? STFC did what they needed to do in what could have been an awkward away game and got what they'd worked for. Superb finish for the equaliser mind & you deserved it.

What a great late turnaround again, still right in there with a decent chance of auto with four games to go. Aaron on 90+2 will do for me after being behind til late again. Tricky game at home out of the way.

BH beers for @SoT🍺

Much needed equaliser , time for a late winner …..
A Swindon speciality now but don't count on it every game please, IH must be doing something right.....
7 points separating 1st and 7th at this stage of the season is brilliant. Talk about competitive
I somehow didn't think L2 would be like that again this year but here we are!

Points to be had v Colchester and Accrington, maybe don’t leave it so late

Have to win both to make in interesting.
Grimsby away then Chesterfield home.
All about the results as we are not playing well.

Poor standard if I’m honest and any team can beat another.

Same old Swindon.
Started ok for the first 20 without creating then just awful.
Go 1-0 behind and we suddenly want it and wake up.
Substitutes once again change the game.
Fletcher Holman has pace and energy, whilst raw he make things happen,
Down to him today and just keeps it interesting.
We have to win at Colchester Friday night which will put pressure on the teams Saturday.
Last minute winner, tremendous

9 minutes of injury time and struggling to think where that came from.
Once that got noted we went for it and luckily it came off.

Cracking win from the sounds of it.
Not playing well as you say but you’ve got Holman with his energy but you’ve also got a CF in Drinan who is always likely to get you a goal.
You’ve got as good a chance as anyone mate.
Keep going. 👍

I've just seen the highlights online. You did the job you needed to, it isn't about playing well at this stage of the season it's 100% about riding the storm and getting the points so that would have done for me, Holman is just what you need; a rapid ball carrier to get up the pitch quickly then put it into the right place(s). You may be sick of IH but he knows how to shuffle his pack to get something out of a game usually, imo you're better away so Friday's game will probably suit if Colch try to press you, You're exactly right it's about moving pressure to others then see if they falter, today's win gave you that.

I'm really enjoying following yours & IH's fortunes.
