I can’t see Cirkin being here next season. He’s a decent player when fit but he’s stuck in a continuous cycle of playing back up to Reinildo and then when the odd opportunity presents itself to play he’s either not fit or Hume is preferred ahead of him.

I think both parties will reach the conclusion that a parting of the ways is the best option.

This. A shame because on the rare occasions he's appeared this season whilst he may not be 100% up to speed defensively at this level het he's not looked out of place on the ball and at 24 with potential and home grown it's both a position and slot we're going to have to fill.

But the reality is he's always been susceptible to injury and more recently just not been available when needed.

I'm a big fan of Cirkin, always have been, but the above doesn't make good reading.

It's certainly not ideal if your LB cover is likely to be unavailable when he's needed.......to cover!

I'd like him to stay but suspect the club have rightly offered a deal relative to the amount of games he has missed (and is likely to continue to miss via injury) and he'll take a deal elsewhere.

With that sickness record we’d be mad to offer him a new contract.

Fair play to him, he has done better when called on this season than I expected at this level.

But he is only ever going to be here as cover, he can only cover one position, isn't a plyer who we would look to be bringing on from the bench, and when we needed him, he has often been out with injury, which has been a constant issue for him.

I don't think giving him a new contract would be a good use of money.

Shame. but time to move on. Like a few we've got (Huggins, Alesi, Seelt) made of twiglets.Although he has been the best of that little quartet.

No wonder he apparently struggles mentally with all that bad luck with injury

Huggins has only 40!

And about 14 of those are this season at Wycombe. Yeah that was another questionable one.
25 years old and 66 league games under his belt. Contract extension in 2024 that runs till 2027, after the previous injury hit two seasons I have no idea why we gave it.

Correct myself here - total appearances, not league is 66. Its about 53 league.

Am I being old fashioned here but 93 days for a broken thumb seems excessive surely or was it caught under a steam roller like Tom and Jerry style.
