Rob Key was at Northampton yesterday apparently.
Probably only because Lehman called out the ECB over the winter when he said he'd never seen anyone from the ECB once at a CC game. He thought he ought to show his face to try and keep him quiet.
I was also at Northampton yesterday. If he was there I didnt see him. If he was , he was probably at the bar getting pissed and didnt watch any of the game anyway.

Key has shown nothing but contempt for the CC. I have no idea why anyone thinks he can suddenly be the right person to build bridges and lead a renewed approach to engaging the counties.
Not with our tail it can’t. The subject of this thread is Ashes Inquest. I was at the first two games. And if there was one thing that set England apart negatively, it was how shit the tail was. Every time. Especially in the second innings at the Gabba, when they had just had a three hour master class from Stokes and Jacks (after a Smith duck, it goes without saying) about batting defiantly and Atkinson and Carse still came out and batted like twats anyway.
And both Carse and Atkinson can be very capable batsmen.

Yeah both Rew and Smith should make squad for next test imo, as both quality and hopefully for the long term.
Smith should certainly not be just judged only of a terrible Ashes series as class act.
