He was on about 5k a week?Even the wages we’ve saved was worth getting rid . Love Ross but he’s been nothing short of a liability for Southampton.

It was an amazing bit of business.
Probably the best deal outgoing we’ve ever done
Well get our money back on adringaJust a shame we gave them the money back on Adingra tbh. Honestly think I'd rather have Watson, he has potential.

To be fair so could adringa, if he kicks on ligue 1 who is to say psg won't splash 40 million on himJust though; Watson could be a £40/50m player in the future. Could be totally worthless aswell mind, but I don't know, think there's potential in him in the future.

AgreedTrue true, mind I think the club will just be happy with the money back right now. Be good business really, get the amortisiation off the books and use the £4/5m per year on someone else.
So are you saying you expected him to play less as he is 19.He’s 19
I’m saying “it’s not looking good for the lad” is a bit OTT for someone who is still just 19So are you saying you expected him to play less as he is 19.
I don’t agree.I’m saying “it’s not looking good for the lad” is a bit OTT for someone who is still just 19
Never seen that officially and I have heard that the 10m included add ons. Ive never seen the paperwork though so I have no idea aside from hearsay. No, I think it was £10m guaranteed, and £2m if we they got promoted in the next few years ....which they did.
That’s fine.I don’t agree.
To be fair that is the case, especially a loan player in a run in. Surely its to be expected that playing the seasoned pros will play more in these crucial games? So are you saying you expected him to play less as he is 19.
Possibly right at this point, but who knows in year or twos time. Chris Rigg looked way off until a few weeks ago, based on his last two games he might look like a £50M player this time next season. Plenty time for Watson to develop even if it looks like we've mugged Brighton right now.

Clarke was great at QPRThat’s fine.
You compared him to have the same impact as Clarke in his last season with us
At the same age Clarke was being rubbish on loan at QPR
Serious question and don’t be offended if I’m incorrect but are you and chunky the same person with 2 seperate accounts. To be fair that is the case, especially a loan player in a run in. Surely its to be expected that playing the seasoned pros will play more in these crucial games?
Why would that be offensive? Because I think a loan player who is 19 will play less in a run in?Clarke was great at QPR

He played 204 minutes for qprClarke was great at QPR

His goal was worth that and so much more to us. For that, he’ll forever be fondly remembered by Sunderland fans. In fact, should he not be in the Sunderland Hall of Fame along with the rest of team who secured our Premiership promotion? We probably would have done the same, but instead we’ve put £10m in our bank account.
