Tommy Watson

Yeah mate the Stoke game, maybe one other and the whichever game he got injured. I mean he was just starting to look very good. Think he's got more to his game than Clarke as he can use his left foot. Probably another loan next season but he needs to crack on.
So Clarke can't play with his left? Did you miss our equilizer at Sheff Wed. in the play offs? Tommy isn't as good as Clarke as it stands but if he finds someone who believes in him and works him hard Tommy could still become a very good player. Very few managers will be taking risks with young players at this time of year unless they are showing exceptional form in training and during games.

They are both predominantly right footed but I'd say Watson looks better and more natural going onto his left. It's a very rare sight to see Clarke going onto that side. Both went for big money to top flight clubs at very young age. I just personally think TW has a higher ceiling, he's 19 so bags of time to kick on. Hopefully he gets a loan to a more suitable side next season, Boro might be a good shout if they don't go up this term.

Do you not think getting 10m for Ross Stewart is better .

No. Stewart is a proven goal scorer. If he hadn’t of got injured he would have performed well. I get what you’re saying though.
Jobe for £30m still better for me.

Jobe is a regular starter in their league. Captain of the national under 21s and will be increasingly value

It was an amazing bit of business.
Probably the best deal outgoing we’ve ever done
Possibly right at this point, but who knows in year or twos time. Chris Rigg looked way off until a few weeks ago, based on his last two games he might look like a £50M player this time next season. Plenty time for Watson to develop even if it looks like we've mugged Brighton right now.

Tommy will always be a player we appreciate because of the play off final. He has potentially been miss advised by his agent and ended up back in the championship. Would he be in our teams strongest 11 no. He would more than likely be playing now due to injuries. He is still very raw and needs game time. Will he make it at the top. I’m not convinced but will always love his goal at Wembley

As far as I’m concerned I don’t think we’d have managed him differently. I reckon he’d have had the first half of the season in the prem then a half season loan to the champo
