Geertruida incident

Hmmm.
This wave of success for the likes of Reform and Restore is a result of mass immigration from culturally incompatible countries causing discontent, all since Blair.
It was rare to find working class people voting for right wing parties prior to that, not anymore. It's the successive governments that have caused this mess.
Divide and rule. I blame politicians for this, not the man/woman in the street. The powers that be must've known this would happen.
Sorry for wandering OT, people.
No political point scoring here but didn't Enoch Powell have something to do with encouraging people to migrate to the UK to train before his Rivers of Blood speech? I think (know) he was a Conservative minister long before Blair came to power. Large scale post war immigration due to labour shortages mainly took place under a Conservative government in the 1950s.

Oh stop, its been caused by far right propaganda demonising immigrants and minorities. In what way are they incompatible? No doubt you'll give me stories of rape gangs, which 99.9% of immigrants are not involved in. The working class have always needed someone to look down upon to feel better about themselves, it used to be druggies and single mothers, now it's immigrants.

Crime in Great Britain has fell off a cliff since it peaked in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The murder rate has halved and is now down to just 570 a year in the last figures. Burglary, car theft, violent crimes, are all down dramatically compared to 20-30 years ago, the only crime rise is things like online crime.

So why do so many have this perception that Britain is dangerous? Because we see every instance of crime now due to cameras everywhere and social media, along with certain hostile states and billionaires pumping money into bot farms and media like GB News to push propaganda that terrifies people.

The areas voting reform are ones who either don't have loads of immigrants or they've just gotten a load of noticeable immigrants because we left the EU and instead of white Europeans, it's black and brown skinned ones. The people voting for reform, old people mostly, don't know or interact with immigrants, so they believe the scaremongering and propaganda against them. People from areas where they've had noticeable immigrants for decades don't vote reform, because they grew up alongside immigrants and know they are not dangerous or incompatible.

Our birthrates have been falling for decades ever since we strengthened social security, like pensions, meaning people no longer need to have loads of kids as a form of social security to look after them when they get old. So because we are having less bairns, there's more need for immigrants, the country collapses without them, as population growth is the main driver of economic growth. So unless AI replaces humans, we need a steady stream of immigrants to avoid stagnation, simple as that. I guarantee you'll be crying for them to come if we were in a stagnation or recession due to labour shortages.

I have never met an immigrant that I felt was incompatible, and I meet them all the time in my work. I am sure there are some hard-line religious ones but they are a tiny minority, most muslims I've met are decent and assets to this country. Most of the people terrified of them don't know any, besides all the Reform voters who get their hair cut at a Turkish barber, eat from Muslim takeaways, get stuff delivered by African delivery drivers etc.

Your anger should be directed at the elites who have 90% of the worlds wealth in their possession, all your problems are caused by the people who have all the money and don't pay their fair share of tax. There is plenty of money to go around, its just all been hoarded by the 1%, and they use their control of the media to brainwash you into blaming immigrants, you know those people with no money or power?

My daughter manages a dental surgery, she’s said her and the other young lasses who work there get the most abuse from blokes who are in their middle age , absolutely disgusting and shameful 😡

Shocking, the general toning down of misogyny in society and education of young men to respect women is one of the more welcome developments in society in recent years.

There are two many men thinking they are still walking around in the 1980s like some bawdy role in Ashes to Ashes forgetting they look and sound pitiful now with their over familiar comments to women.

(Shame however we are now importing so much misogyny however)

Your second paragraph mate…. Remove benefits and you will see crime go through the ceiling.
The average tax payer is resentful of what people are rewarded with for not working, resentful that immigrants who have never paid a penny into the system receive for free that even ex servicemen do not qualify for, resentful that society appears to favouring cultures that are alien over them, resentful that public services are shocking whilst we allow the population to explode with migration.

The average tax payer knows that tax comes primarily from wealthy people who take chances, create jobs … there’s parasites amongst them for sure, but that’s the price of a free market economy

Your other option is a totalitarian Marxist state and we are heading that way.

Your right the vast majority of immigrants are decent people but they don’t necessarily want to live in a multi ethnic society anymore than a lot of racists, they want a multicultural society and that does not work. It breeds sectarianism and strife between cultures.

It’s not the rich who have failed this country its the failure of successive governments across all parties. Politicians with ideology’s and their myopic outlook who are the true evil in this country not immigrants not the rich.

We are going to hell in a handcart and everyone is blaming everyone else only the politicians can fix it …. They won’t

You’ve really absorbed a whole lot of bullshit there. Is your primary news source the Mail or the Express? 😂

I try to be objective and apolitical, I can see both sides of an argument.

You offer no opinion just a put down, that is the lowest level of engagement and suggests a typical lazy positioning that indeed itself has come from indoctrination.

Is anything I have said untrue? If so tell me which parts and I will think about it.

There are millions of people in this country who are not thinking for themselves and indeed scared to for ridicule.

We are all to some degree a product of our influencers, we should stop to understand their motives and question what is it we want for our country and what are the consequences of that.

I guarantee you there is no one solution to the future which will work for everyone, history has been hard on many as will the future but society has nonetheless overall improved in almost every respect.

It’s now going backwards fast and unless those with strong ideology don’t open their minds we soon won’t be able to afford even what we do now.

With no millionaires you don’t have taxes and hence public sector services, without an integrated multiethnic society you have sectarian politics not consensus politics.

Without affordable energy you don’t have industry, without industry you don’t have jobs, taxes or self sufficiency.

You certainly can’t afford to defend yourselves.

44% of this this countrys GDP is already spent by the government up circa 4 % in circa 4 years. Where do we think that 44% comes from … yep taxes. The millionaires and the workers.

No one should be in any doubt that we can’t afford the population explosion of non tax paying people, the welfare bill, the tax’s on companies, the energy policy, the ever increasing public sector pay awards to stop strikes, public sector pensions, the inefficiency and lack of accountability of public sector workers, departments and processes.

Consequences my friend are what you and everyone else need to worry about from all sides or before long we will be part of a failing Marxist totalitarian state where you won’t believe the poverty and injustice.

I don’t think my view on everything is absolutely right, do you? Are you open to accepting the bigger picture and consequences.

Right now the country is destroying itself with its policies on energy, migration, welfare, company taxes, personal taxation, freedom of speech, minority priority.

Which ever party try’s to turn this around will be tortured as the pain would be so great. No one is going to accept what needs to be done for the greater good. Hence why Starmer can’t reform the welfare state.

Entitlement has become the thing in this country… time for sacrifice to become the buzz word. It was what my parents and grandparents and great grandparents had to do and what was installed in me … and trust me by today’s standards they along with probably most peoples relatives on here lived in real poverty.

Be careful what you wish for… PS i wouldn’t wipe my backside with the Express and Mail. I might the use the Guardian for that purpose as it’s free on line.

If you have the time, and I do, listen to LBC radio and the cross section of presenters to at least formulate an independent opinion on things.

Some of them annoy me but I listen to them to try and understand competing views to mine, I’ve found it the best way to wade my way through all the competing indoctrination

You yourself are in the top 10% in the world for wealth, simply by being a Brit. Fancy paying more?

James O'Brien aside, LBC is a right wing station (source: ).

Even if I had the time to debunk all of your nonsense ("multiculturalism doesn't work", "wealthy people create all the jobs/taxes", "totalitarian Marxist state"!) you're so dogmatic that it wouldn't make any difference.

You wouldn’t call Andrew Marr right wing and one or two take a very sensible middle path such as Shelagh Fogarty.
Add in Nick Ferrari who is clearly right wing and James O Brian that’s as balanced a set up as you will see in British Media on an average day
