7 games left. How do we use them?

Which new formations are we meant to try? 2 up front is a non-starter. We'll have most of the players back for the run in so get them all into the system theyre used to and get as many points as we can.

Short term viewpoint.

To find out where we come up short

Not really.

Strange reply.

We have no chance of classifying for Europe. Get real.
We are 3 points off a Conference league place with 21 points still to play for. Of course we have a chance.

It would take an incredible effort from here, but we've certainly got winnable games to come. If anyone in the hunt could get 2 points a game for the run in i think it could be enough. I think Everton might get that last spot personally but we're certainly not out of it yet

Win every game. The only strategy required. The summer transfer window could transform the team once again. Best to push on. Transfer prospects will consider ambition along with the money.

Do we try to get as many points as possible or shall we use them to try out new formations and tactics with a view to next year?
Personally I would try to try out new tactics to improve our attacking threat. We can't stand still and repeat tactics. People find you out and will find it easier to annul you. Standing still is going backwards.
I am amazed by our results this season - but there can be no let up - this league is relentless - Forest are an example - they are a good side with one world class player and a lot of excellent players - and still relatively in danger of relegation.
I take it the OP in his brain fart has determined this is what we should to, and he's not actually interested in discussing it otherwise.

He's wrong of course.

I think we should the games to sit around knitting hats.

We're 3 points off 7th.

We play
3 teams who are either relegated or fighting relegation (Took points from 9 in the corresponding fixtures)
A Villa team who have had a wobble recently and who play a second leg the Thursday before our game

Everton and United games will obviously be tricky given their current form

Chelsea may have nothing to play for on the last day depending on how the next 6 go.

Don't think we will get into Europe, but surely that's the aim all things considered?
