7 games left. How do we use them?

Do we try to get as many points as possible or shall we use them to try out new formations and tactics with a view to next year?
Personally I would try to try out new tactics to improve our attacking threat. We can't stand still and repeat tactics. People find you out and will find it easier to annul you. Standing still is going backwards.
I am amazed by our results this season - but there can be no let up - this league is relentless - Forest are an example - they are a good side with one world class player and a lot of excellent players - and still relatively in danger of relegation.

As long as we have a realistic shout of Europe we need to be playing our best side to try and win every game. The moment we find ourselves out the race and already safe i'd be happy for us to make sure likes of Rigg, Talbi get as many minutes as possible. I'd also like to see the occasional cameo from an academy player who hasn't featured yet. I'm thinking Geragusian if it helps tie him down to a pro deal

That, and thats all I read up to.

Short term viewpoint.
What would be the point in experimenting with tactics for next season when we don't even know what our squad will look like then?
To find out where we come up short
Both the same thing aren’t they? You try new tactics to find a way to get more wins/points
Not really.
Strange ponder.
Strange reply.

We have no chance of classifying for Europe. Get real.

Not if your current tactics are getting results. Certainly not the time for experimenting, thinking about next year (as per the OP).
What's the point. You've revived 3 months too late. See you in 2027/28

We'll always try to win, but can't we experiment at the same time?
Your question was do we try to win every game OR experiment, with a view for next season (you've said that to test where we are short, so we can address for next season).

Experimenting is trying new things. That's different to a manager going with a trusted formula, adapting to the opposition or tweaking things during a game if it's not going well. The latter is standard/expected management tbh.
