One of those players who, because he came from L1 to Ch'ship to Prem, people will form/have formed lazy opinions after a mistake or ropey game, whack 2+2 and end up with 'USELESS, not PL quality' and will only ever highlight moments to support that line of thinking.

For me, he's precisely the sort of player we didn't have during the last PL stint. Heart and soul, work ethic, brave, cracking tackler, happy to get his kit dirty and take a hit for the cause.

One massively overlooked aspect of Hume: he's only just turned 24. Likely still going to improve.

Doesn't mean he's any good in those positions, RB and a fill in LB, CB aside

As much as I think he was awful in midfield and not great at LB, fair play to the lad, it is one hell of a job to fill in at a new position in your first Season in the PL and most would have did far worse.
