Not as easily as just waltzing past people time and time by just slowing down and speeding up it was and example there has been others he’s not quick enough

We were very much led to believe he was fully fit going into the Newcastle game mate.
I do think it partially comes down to oppo.
Spurs are that much of a mess in struggling a little to think who they actually will play on the right hand side, Simmons maybe?
REGIS Le Bris can't imagine life at Sunderland without Mr Versatile Trai Hume.
The 24-year-old has started all but two of Sunderland's 31 Premier League games this season, and has played in a variety of positions.
As well as playing in his natural role at right-back, Hume has covered on the left side of the defence and played further forward in midfield.

Asked what he likes about Hume in that wide midfield role, Le Bris said: "It was interesting. When we faced strong teams, away especially, sometimes we may expect that the majority of the game, the defensive phases, will go in deep blocks.
"With a right winger like Trai, it's easy to drop in a 5-4-1 naturally, organically. We can manage this right triangle really easily. With Trai in this position, it's a good principle.
"With the ball, because he's got this ability to manage different positions, he can play wide, he can play inside, he can play as a double pivot in the 10-pocket.
"For the opponent, you never know what position he will pick on the pitch. He can manage different positions really efficiently. This versatility is useful."

Been brilliant, does all the unnoticed leg work, would not surprise me if he gets players player of season.
Not all fans see it but when u got a player in ur team like Trai the lads who play with him know the graft he puts in.

At the time you wrote this in July last year, I wasn't convinced either, but he has stepped up brilliantly this season and fully deserves his place.

If the season ended now would be between Ballard and Xhaka for me, but you could also make arguments for Le Fee and Alderete too

Agree plus Roofs be up there for overall player of season, but it’s a hard call as been some excellent performances,
the players player is often not the star man or best player, but the overlooked grafter, Hume is certainly that.

Yes,the good thing is he isnt by the manager.I think the point Reggie was making and me is that we cannot jump to the top table without careful building of the squad and Hume will give us this time .
