He's done here even without it unfortunately, don't get this close to a contract expiry in the top flight (or even Championship) without knowing that you're leaving.
 
He'd cost too much in wages, I would imagine. Also doubt he would want to sign as back up. He would definitely be a good squad player for us - possibly better than Reinildo as well anyway.

He still has a couple of seasons at this level I reckon.
