In the wake of the atrocious scenes back in summer 24, the club rightfully put out a pride inducing statement that ‘our great city is built on togetherness and acceptance and Sunderland will forever be for all. We are stronger as one community. Now. Then. Always.’

So while this maybe not the right thread to conflate the issue of Newcastle’s investigation into racial abuse of one of our players with an owner’s invitation to a highly divisive, dog whistle blowing, quantifiable racist who played no small role in stoking those disgraceful scenes in 2024, the poster you’re replying sadly has somewhat of a point.

I have it on good authority from a source in Tyneside that Hall, Burn and Livramento all “listen to Kanye West” so in a gesture of solidarity, allowed Brobbey to score, fair play

So he’s never made one comment about actual racism at one of their home games last week, but is throwing the racist accusations about because of a daft rumour?
