Hume Hybrid Role

Here he is, mega whopper who can’t give Hume any ounce of credit for a very good game.

Have a day off.
Def was f***ing all over the shop if ya want to pretend and make believe knock yaself out seen people say keeper had a good game he literally missed about 4 crosses kicked the ball off Gordon etc etc hume big mistake first ten mins lucky it was elanga that’s not a solid performance marra. He got better second half admittedly

Very good squad player always gives 100 % plus.
He isn’t as good a RB as Nordi and he isn’t a LB
I think in a backs against the wall game where he is an extra body in MF and can drop back to help RB he won’t let you down
Sometimes his distribution is suspect but all players drop a clanger or 2 in a game I suppose
I suspect though that the ‘ re-emergence’ of Rigg is going to give RLB selection headaches because Rigg is clearly far superior technically and creatively
A nice problem for RLB. Whether Hume starts or comes in from the bench, I think he remains a key member of the squad

I have not been the greatest fan of Hume this season. There are a lot of fans who have rose tinted glasses on. Yesterday as one poster stated was ball watching for the free header.
HOWEVER, He has really improved in last few games at left back.
Can’t fault his effort. If he can improve it’s been a great season.

He's a Premier League full back with the character that a Sunderland player needs to have.

A £300k signing from Northern Ireland to play in League one and he's better than most right backs we've had this century.

Oh and he's only just turned 24, plenty of time to keep developing and improving.

Doesn't massively rely on his pace either.

When is he doing to get the credit he deserves?

Haven’t heard his name but he was very solid yesterday playing out of position yet again.
Had one of his better games yesterday.

Most people’s issue was with him playing a midfield role when he’s not good enough on the ball to do so. He’s done pretty well defensively, his obvious weakness being when players run at him. On the ball passing wise, he’s one of the worst in the league (and that’s statistically not just an overreaction).

Don’t have an issue with him at right back when we’re up against it. He’s not good enough on the ball for anything else.
