The QPR one was his masterpiece. Absolute nugget.

Put a remotely competent goalkeeper in net that season and we probably could have stayed up.

If he's going to throw in a wildcard 5th keeper who will eventually be dropped from the squad, why not give that experience to a younger up and coming keeper who might actually benefit from the call - rather than a lad who is probably not going to play a minute of football for the foreseeable.

Because Steele will go to the World Cup camp probably. You must have 3 keepers in your squad. Pickford, Henderson and Trafford/Ramsdale.

So I expect the plan is to take a 4th in case one gets injured and they must be swapped in. But if that doesn’t happen he’ll just be an extra man around the camp with a positive attitude

I can see the logic in taking a guy with no ego, no expectations of making the squad, PL experience, experience of adversity, clearly a strong tactical understanding the game (de zerbi approved)

If one of the keepers is injured during the tournament he’ll step up and become the 3rd keeper on the bench

i thought i recognised his name having played for us. brentford away was possibly the worst goalkeeping performance i've seen. sure someone on here described him as polo mint hands.
 
Love to know how these other English keepers are we could of called up instead as 4th choice

He’s clearly a nice lad from what you can see form his time here he was gutted
