Its rediculous. How can you transform from what he gave us to been on the verge of an England keeper. Gordon Banks will be spinning in his grave.
 
I honestly had to pinch myself when I read the news to make sure I wasnt dreaming/nightmare. How on earth could he go to being in the England setup?

Bravo to the lad , he didn't look human when he played for us, never mind a footballer..never mind a premier league international

Had anyone got a video of his bloopers for us ?.

I just seem to remember him diving looked like a glitch in the matrix, like the ball would go through him then he'd dive directly up in the air

Because it’s a waste, even though it’s only the provisional squad.

I’d have preferred it if they called up the Coventry keeper. English, 24, top of the championship, and regularly playing.

Calling up Steele who’s near the end of his career and hasn’t played in the league for a couple of years is a waste of time.

He was better than Lee Camp & Ruiter, I’ll give him that.

Seemingly he's going as a training keeper. I presume that means he's there to assist with drills etc. rather than with the prospect of getting a game.

No getting a game as a keeper seems to have become a specialism.

Edit: Don't ask me why one of the other keepers couldn't do that. I presume the role is a crossover of a goalkeeping coach and a player.

Do they not have coaching staff to help with drills etc?

Just seems to me that it’s a waste of time, but fair enough.

If they needed someone to help with training, then it would be the perfect opportunity to call up a younger more upcoming keeper.

Not someone who could be retired within 12 months. :lol:
