Ballard injury

What we can guess so far looking at training pics and hints
Ellborg
Gerty
Mukiele
Aldarette
Reinildo
Le fee
Xhaka
Diarra
Sadiki
Talbi
Brobbey
Obviously Hume could come in for Talbi and Mukiele might be benched
Could be a pleasant surprise with Roefs yet ,let’s wait and see

Given how overly-cautious RLB normally is, I just can’t see Reinildo and Mukiele being thrown back in from the start, just not how he works, whatever the occasion.

Having said that he did with Brobbey, but he hadn’t been out quite as long had he?

Brobbey was injured the same game as Mukiele,so nordi only been out an extra week
Think they have been holding Reinildo back for this game as well ,ie giving him an extra week of training

Ballard has an arguably bigger game coming up for Northern Ireland on Thursday so that might play its part in whether he plays or not. If Nordi is back then it isn’t as big a blow as it could be.

Hume at right back Nordi/Aldarete and Cirkin is how we lined up against Man City at home where put in one of the best defensive performances we have had this season, could possible be the same line up for Sunday.
I’m assuming Reinildo is fit.

Can’t take much from them training pics. Mukiele might have been with the squad but not doing full training.

I don’t think Cirkin has done much wrong when he’s played, had a couple of excellent games and I wouldn’t be against him starting ahead of Reinildo as he’s a bit of loose cannon for a derby game, his pace would be a big plus though (assuming he’s fit). At least we should have a like for like swap when either of them need subbing.

We played that game
You said there was no way Hume would be on the bench.

Evidence points that if everyone is fit and he plays a back 4. There's a very likely chance Hume is benched.

Fully expect Reg to go 5 at the back so your probably right as he'll be playing in that event. I'd guess at the below, until we hear otherwise.

Ellborg
Hume Geertruida Nordi Alderete Reinildo
Diarra Sadiki Xhaka Enzo
Brobbey

I like Cirkin but give owa Reinildo is miles ahead of him. He’s a Simeone player as well so is custom made for these type of games.

This is the occasion, the rest of the season can do one, this is the cup final ffs

This. Although cirkin has surprised me a bit this season. Given how he ended the last season I thought the jump would have been way too much for him, yet he hasn't done much wrong at all.

Presumably mukiele will go in at CB if fit to play and Hume on the right?

Has much been said about ballard or are we keeping it quiet for now?

Reinildo is the better player but is coming back from being out for 5-6 weeks, Cirkin has played well most of the time and should be sharper. Neither are going to be 100% fully fit so likely will both play a part. The Simeone bit is what worries me, he’s a quality player without the dark arts but has it in his locker to do something crazy.

Cirkin only started three games? Might be wrong but can't judge on such limited game time. Reinildo plays Sunday or we lose, might lose anyway.

So we are going for a 0-0 draw
