Ballard injury

The prospect of seeing O9 play in an away derby is almost too good to pass up.
Its not a nice prospect, I don't want to see it
So we are looking at
Ellborg
Hume
Gerty
Aldarette
Reinildo
Xhaka
Le fee
Sadiki
Diarra
Talbi
Brobbey
Not a bad team tbh
I reckon Talbi would drop out of that side and Hume would play they wide right role he's played a few times

Obviously want Ballard fit but just had a look at the line up vs Man City at home on new years day.. zno Ballard starting Hume and Cirkin fullbacks Gerty alongside Xhaka with Mayenda also starting on the right with Brobbey upfront also Afcon players missing and we done alright

He's got no chance man.

Went down holding his hamstring on about 35 minutes, played on then aggravated it again in the second half and had to go off.

So he's obviously injured it, and you don't get 1 week hamstring injuries.
Why would he be included in the NI squad if that is the case unless it’s smoke and mirrors?

The squad was named the next day wasn't it? They won't have had a proper diagnosis yet and that's the week after, giving him another week to recover.

Even 2 weeks is ridiculously optimistic though and fully expect him to be withdrawn in due course.

Seen it mentioned that only Spurs have had more injuries than us in 2026? It’s so impressive that we’ve hit 40 points already if that’s the case.

Season of two halves. Felt like we were relatively injury free until around the end of January.
I think we’re currently 17th in the form chart for 2026. It’s a fair old drop off shows how weak our “squad” is passed the starting eleven no one has made a case to go from a finisher to a starter which is a shame as they’ll be further down the pecking order come next season.

That's the second time that's happened recently. Leaving the lad on when he was injured only to aggravate it further, same thing happened when Nordi got injured.

Decisions on Ballard, Mukiele and Roefs will be made on Saturday as far as I’m aware.

Le fee was touch and go for Brighton with hamstring tightness so he’ll be another but the expect him to be fit.

That was last I’d heard and think Phil smith had said similar on a podcast other day
Imagine all 4 making it, just over a third of the first choice Xl and people wonder why our results have dipped lately
