Founders bar

So had an email from club confirming that if I don’t take up

so just an update, been told via email that there is no mechanism to transfer to a normal season ticket, and that I need to join the waiting list (which they happily shared is now at 8k). So any corporates with decades of loyalty but who can’t afford the new prices just join the back of the waiting list. Charming

Looks like I will be spending my weekends with the grandkids a lot more after all.

Would have thought the owner would have learnt from the mags fa cup fiasco and the criticism of fans groups in the past, you never shit on your loyalest fans.
This is obscene from the club.
I don't particularly like the club's stance on this.

Can I afford the Founders with spread payments? Yes. Do I like it in there and extract some value out of it? Yes. However, I would like the choice to not renew the package (bearing in mind it was sold as a 'top up' and I could choose any seat) and not be penalised and have to go to the back of the queue, even if I do have to shift seats.

I don't have as many years on the clock as others, but I have had a season card in 18 of the last 20 years (one of those missed was the COVID year) and I don't see why I should have to go to the back of the queue to move.

If the Founders seat was released (and I moved to general admission), a newbie on the waiting list could take it.

I would just add that I have added myself to the general admission waiting list, even though I'm not necessarily going to give up the Founders package. I would just like the choice.
The Club changed the agreement though so should allow the client to then have options. This seems insane.

All the more reason to make it just an add on.
Big cock up imo.
Yeah it doesn't make sense the way they're doing it, tied to the seat.

Makes it even less attractive knowing once you're in that's it, you can't get back out without starting all over again.

I thought the club had turned a corner, and the remaining antiquated and outdated approach towards the lifeblood of the club would be phased out....but it seems like for whatever reason it's being overlooked.

I'm in a similar position to you, albeit in 76 Yards....really enjoy it in there, and it's suits what we want from a day at the footy, and thankfully, I can continue to afford it next season.....but, if my circumstances changed or the extras we pay for were no longer needed or justifiable, It's laughable that historical renewals or spend isn't considered at all.

Surely it wouldn't take too much admin for someone to be able to let those who want to move or downgrade, to be be given a fighting chance of getting something decent before a new applicant does.

It's already been mentioned, but I'm sure there's a good few on the waiting list who ditched their tickets when we were pap, who'll get first dibs over someone who sat through the L1 debacle.

I would give people like you first choice of available tickets before the people on the waiting list how could anyone think that's not fair
Exactly. It’s basic common sense looking after your loyalist first and foremost. How are they getting this basic shit wrong man. The person or people making these decisions need to be held to account by someone more senior, and told to either sort it out or you’re peddled. It’s a disgrace.

You disgust me
They’ve done same with people in Quinn’s, go to the 76 yards or to the back of a waiting list!

Please tell me you’re not coming back to BCB??

I’ll cancel the kids summer holiday and pay for you to stay in Quinns!
Nah staying, offering us 10 black cat points for removal of away game applications. However they wont be as points will be deducted so god knows where I'll be at.

Gone up a canny bit as well.

Might return now

What’s the price of Quinn’s now . BACK in league 1 it was about £1500. Food was average , not enough seats then they smarted it up a bit but still not enough seating so you had to eat yer plate of food standing up most of the time . Stopped us going in thru main entrance and had to go in the side tradesman entrance . The perks were great seats, warm toilets and away tickets priority which has apparently been taken away.

Let's be honest, its prem league now so revenue is everything, so its boils down to blackmail. Keep paying the inflated costs for corporate of whichever level or your effectively out on your ear.

It does make me wonder if someone wanted to leave founders but upgrade to 76 yards rather than downgrading, id bet they'd sharp find space for that kind of move

Stinks of trying to extract the maxim amount of money by whichever means they can.
There are seats available still that aren't taken by season ticket or away allocations, they really should allow people to downgrade if they want for a season or two as the numbers will settle over that time.

What happens the season after next, as we all know ticket prices will rise again, so there will be more people as time goes on taking stock of the worth of the varying levels of corporate so a bit unfair to constantly have a squeeze on people with draconian consequences if they dare to want to change what they pay

Its also a massive red flag for anyone thinking of upgrading to try for a season, there's every chance you won't be able to return to a GA ticket so could be back of the queue again for a season ticket

You make some excellent points and are applying logical thought with common sense. I fear the people running the ticketing do not give a single flying f about my position, as one way or another the season ticket gets taken.
It’s been a sadly enlightening personal experience on just how monstrous and ugly modern football has become.
I read last night of numerous RM fans sitting in man city sections with tickets purchased through affiliated club ticketing sites.
As I said before, I never thought my club would behave like that

Revenue is king in the modern game so its squeeze people from all sides

It would be absolutely tragic to fans having to stop going to games after many years, not because they can't afford a season ticket, but because they can't/ won't pay for corporate

If anything its a massive disincentive to actually try corporate

Still doesn't make sense as a business model to treat loyal lifelong customers like shit. Yes someone else will come along and take the ticket but these customers were there in all the shit times... they are worth more and deserve more than such unnecessarily kernty behaviour. If you change the t&Cs of a season ticket and hike the price and then just say arbitrarily that the club has decided that this is what your new ST is or start at the end of the line you are out of order. In such circumstances you have to offer your loyal customer who has not asked for any of these changes if they would rather have a different ST. That is just common decency and basic.

I wish to confirm your Quinn's Sports Bar pricing for the 26/27 season will be £2595+VAT per person and £1298+VAT for U16s.

Peoples lower like, again because I was gonna go 76yards then missed early bird.

Wow pleased I downgraded when I did, even tho I have lost 30 odd years of season ticket history. Hopefully the food has improved for that price.

I’m guessing past spend on a basic seat means nothing if there are people queuing up to spend corporate levels to go into the revenue pot for the current year.
More than likely two completely different departments of the club.
The game has changed, we are feeling that now.
It’s not what you’ve done, it’s what you’re going to do that is important to the club.

Getting up there price wise like, what's that, about £160 per game, such is the scramble for revenue.
Probably still massively cheaper than more southern clubs
