Xhaka not happy with the early leavers

If you've paid your hard-earned cash and you're not enjoying it, you are perfectly entitled to buzz off home whenever the hell you like. If the players start scoring goals and give us some hope, maybe they'd stick around.
^Early leaver^

Looks folks, look at the early leaver. Let's all point and laugh at him.

I hope ya ill gotten pint goes down the wrong way.

I personally have left two game early (away at derby and away at mags - both times when the fourth one went in!)

But not gonna bash people for doing it - it’s Saturday afternoon and meant to be fun right!? If you aren’t enjoying yourself go home/go for a pint/ do something you are gonna enjoy.

Saturday was garbage second half in particular. If we’d been pressing I’m sure more would have stayed - but we weren’t. That’s down to the players

I always stay till the end. Even when we were playing out a bore draw in League One. I just don't have a go at people who do leave, like you do. They can do what they wanna do.

It wasn’t before they scored. We actually started the second hard quite lively.

Admittedly we huffed and puffed after they scored.

They can do what they want. And I can call them out for being shit supporters if I want.

If nowt else it gets right on ya tits when people are wanting to be past you as they exit, and you're trying to concentrate on the match.

It's baffled me for years, fans streaming out, Xhaka is right. If it's 3/4 nowt with 10 mins to go then it's more understandable but getting beat by 1 or 2, it's pathetic. It happens even if we are drawing at times. How can't you wait that little bit longer for a pint? And if you're doing it to beat the traffic then 😳

Til the end, but only if we're winning, is very true for a large proportion of our fans.

The atmosphere was great first half of the season but now the novelty has worn off, few defeats at home, a lot of fans are showing their true colours.

It has been a great season but unfortunately we have so many twisty morons following us, and loads of fans who think a football match is 80 mins. It's weird behavior tbh.

If people want to leave early then let them. Don't understand why a lot of people get so triggered by it. Such a non issue

Because it is bound to have a detrimental effect on the team
I've been quite amazed at how many are fine with being shite fans. The amount of people who take the position that they'll leave if we're not winning and defend it, like it's a normal. The players must entertain at all times to give anything back to them
Modern times, spoilt entitled fuckers everywhere, it’s not just football either

Because it reflects poorly on us as a fanbase. It doesn't help the players, it demoralises them - particularly in moments where that extra crowd momentum can swing a tight game.

If we as a collective don't care enough to watch the end of a match we've sat through for 85mins, why should the players? They get paid either way.

Simple reality is that there may be a few good reasons to bail on a school night if we're losing 2-0, but Saturday 3pm kickoffs, in the premier league for the first time in ages, and the same people are still streaming out as if they have something better to do, rather than stick around to feel part of something positive. Blaming the traffic or logistics is an easy get out, even if there's a grain of truth.

What’s worse people leaving 5 minutes early or people going for a pint 15 minutes before half time and coming back 5 minutes into the second half

As already said, they're often all the same people. It gets on ya fuckin' nerves them up and down all game.

I spent a couple of seasons sat on the end of a row years ago, and it drove ya mad how many times you were up and down to let people past during the game. And then at the end, ya were forced to stand for the last 5 minutes as people were queuing on the stairs to leave early.

This was the Mick McCarthy era when the crowds were crap (as was the football), so none of it's a new thing.
Okay then super supporter.
There's nowt super about it. Just stay in ya seat and watch the match.

Or, do what you want and allow those grumpy folk who have to stand occasionally to let you pass grumble.
