Diarra lately

Looked very good against West Ham at home,

He was one of the very few positives at West Ham away,

Scored the winning goals at Oxford and Leeds away.

Played well against Burnley at home and chipped in with the goals.

Still young and season disrupted with injury & AFCON. At least see what he is like next season before writing him off, he was highly rated before joining us so there is a chance he becomes a very good player.

hilarious when you set it out like that - expectations seem a bit unrealistic from some
some horrendous stuff on this thread, imo

He seems to be getting some flak because he was laid on the floor for the Brighton goal,

I thought he took a knock to the back of the head so he was probably expecting the ref to hold up play for a head injury.

I think he's struggling from being injured for so long and coming into a side missing 5/6 key players.

He did piss me off last game though.

Think we should all accept his reason for falling to the ground as if he was shot by a sniper .....after the news of the AFCON Cup tonight ....hopefully he takes it out on the Mags on Sunday when he hears the majority of CAF appeal board are Saudi influenced 🤣

people have been missing the fact that diarra is a Muslim and has been observing Ramadan! It can’t be good for anyone not to eat 8 hours before having to play in the hardest league in the world especially in central midfield where you need to be at your peak both physically and mentally to perform well! Thankfully it has ended now so expect a much better performance at the weekend !

Their not even allowed water. Imagine running around for 90 odd mins without a drink.

Aye. You probably have to go for a lie down mid match. In the penalty box. Or give up on getting the ball back from the opposition & have a chat with the referee about how it might have went out for a throw. The game as a whole should improve this weekend cos the amount of foul throws fasting Muslims were taking was off the charts.

I’m glad he’ll now go back to not making stupid decisions.

Man of the match on Sunday. And if it's true this thread gonna be the most bumped in history. If I'm wrong then of course will say nowt😂

Fully agree. Needs to be given till next season at least - hopefully with as little injury setbacks as possible.

I hope to god it’s Xhaka, Sadiki & Le Fee but if he takes to the field on Sunday I’ll sing his shit chant at the top of my voice & would love to have my (justified) criticism rammed back down my throat
All of us together hope for a win and no matter good or bad players. All together with whoever gets picked.

Diarra was awful again last Saturday. I’m hoping it’s lack of fitness as he looked really good those first few games at the start of the season… intensity levels have dropped throughout the team though - no where near what they were prior to Christmas

Lack of fitness has nothing to do with laying on the floor when he clearly wasn’t fouled. He spent more time trying to con the ref than getting up and playing to the whistle.
