SAFC - Fan Ban & Ticket Cancellations

He 100% hasn’t. Quite the opposite.

Look, we are all glad the club are clamping down on incorrect people having tickets. I just think they’ve gone about this the wrong way in regards to the innocent bystanders. By all means punish the perpetrator(s) but I think they could have dealt with this slightly better

They are clearly trying to make a statement arent they? They should have had a way of checking who had the 65 tickets, and made sure those who rightly and fairly had them, kept them. I completely agree with you on that

It sounds like someone in the ticket office is also culpable.

That is wrong, and the club should have been able to look at that and make sure they could prove they were eligible to go, but they've clearly decided to clamp down hard and by the letter of the T&C's (Which the club will obviously use) everyone is probably guilty because of one man
The investigation should have been in summer when proper time could have been taken to assess evidence rather than a rushed PR stunt now.

I know there was definitely people letting him use their season card every week to build up points and going to the games they fancied. There will also have been genuine fans who go to every away game with their ticket. Seems everyone has been tarred with the same brush.

The logical extension of this will be the collapse of the branch structure if every ticket has to be bought by the person using them (ie you can't buy for anyone else on your network). And, if it does go that far, what happens to dads and kids, etc.

I assume if it wasn't this game, the easier route would have been to ID check those 65 people and see how many failed but not really feasible for this one

They haven’t caught 65 they have banned a bloke who bought the 65 and cancelled them.
That was my point.
If they caught all 65 then fair play.

What it appears they have done is fucked over some genuine fans who have trusted someone to buy their tickets. (BTW I'm not saying all 65 will have legit points but it sounds like a lot of them have).

That page has been shutdown but there’s a new 1 already Been knocked up
I have no idea how many were on that previous page but assume it was a few thousand so however many they kill off there will always be someone who will set another one up just for virtual internet points

You have seen how quickly someone wants to post match threads or injury news to know how important that online karma is to them

Club have had in house discussions for months with Premier League, Clubs Legal Team & Police and they started investigations. Facebook pages closed, this, and they'll be other stuff to come, it's not a rushed PR stunt

How do you know all of this?
