SAFC - Fan Ban & Ticket Cancellations

Is it a case that these people have been riding along on someone else's points and there's a mastermind behind it all?
No doubt they're putting the miles in but if they haven't got the points they shouldn't be in the position to travel.
Boring I know, but them being "helped" is denying other fans who will likely have more points.

Or going the other way, if they've regularly been shifting their tickets to accumulate points, that's denying people who want to build their own points.

I'm sure the club have their reasoning, however...

If there are people who have built up their own points AND actually attended those games - what basis do the club have for cancelling?

But the 65 tickets cancelled have been linked to a reseller?
Not a reseller.

For eg - I buy mine and my mates ticket and we go to every game. I buy both so we can sit together and I can get on at 12 each time they go on sale. It’s akin to me doing something wrong in the clubs eyes and not just cancelling my ticket they cancel his as well despite him doing nowt wrong. That’s what’s happened here just scaled up

No. Majority go to all games

On the surface it doesn't appear well handled, if you and a couple of mates knowingly take advantage of a weakness in the system then expect the consequence, but within a branch and a coach full of fans, who qualify in their own right in many cases, why would you think the method was any dodgier than the old days of branches buying bundles of tickets from the club because they were branches? But of course we are light on the actual facts.

That facebook page might have sorted out regular fans, but there are plenty who have been getting tickets for high demand games who have very little points, if any.

At the end of the day the club are right to clamp down on passing tickets about to people who shouldn’t get them, don’t disagree at all.

Problem is they’ve impacted a number of innocent fans in this who used a ‘branch’ to get their tickets for them as they couldn’t login at the time, wanted to sit together etc. They have the correct points to go and will have an opportunity to rebuy one of these 65 on sale but now are in a mad scramble for the biggest game of the season.

I personally know around 10 impacted and some of them have been going for 20+ years

I think the club got the punishment wrong for these people. Massively wrong

So someone posts a name based on hearsay that turns out to be incorrect. It's the very definition of libel! 😂
My point was nobody is going to take any action are they. It’s also a very niche situation and one main suspect has already been ruled out so it’s only libel if it’s untrue.

I for one as an exile hope this doesn’t signal the demise of the “Underground Mackem Tickets Yuniversaly Dispensed to Unlocal Mackems exiled for Years” network. Known as UMTYDUMTY to SAFC, FA, FL, PL, UEFA, FIFA, MI5, MI6, FBI, Baader Meinhoff, CIA, IRA, Red Brigade, Mossad, Black September, PLO, SPECTRE, SMERSH, GRU, UNCLE, the bloods n crips and various mafias and cartels around the world with long names that are a pain in the arse to type fully.

Anyone with an interest in true crime docs and tv cop shows knows this stuff always creates a void into which someone will step. Often it turns out to be a better the devil you know situation for the authorities. I hope the ticket office know what they’re doing. Behave yerselves.

Maybe the ticket office powers that be have been tipped off to the vast illicit fortunes being made in the blackmarket in tickets for the occasional unappetising fixture played at the other end of the country at unsocial hours due to TV coverage on the other side of the world!
Regardless of which I reckon SAFCs interests are best served by getting the ticket offices own house in order first? Software? Systems? Announcements? Communication? Answering the phone? Answering Emails? Etc before
widening their remit.

Ah well supporters club branches Lear Jetting their way to Swansea, Brighton, Bournemouth, Palace, Gillingham, Peterborough etc was always gonna be noticed in the end.

Was always going to happen, innocent fans getting caught up with people twisting on.

I'm going out on a limb to assume because it's not an official branch that's why the club have gone in hard. I don't think i'd personally ever allow my ticket to be bought in with an unoffocial branch but if they've been doing it for so long without issue then I don't know. Anyone know why they haven't applied to be an official branch?
