Diarra lately

I’ve never been one for slagging off individuals, but since we tried to shoehorn this prick into the team we’ve gone to shit. Absolute half arsed effort every game since he came back from his injury. Once again straight down the tunnel at full time. If you don’t want to be here and can’t be arsed to show your appreciation piss off. £30m waste.

Prove me wrong

Pot calling kettle black with the prick. He'll come strong and he wants to be here. Could do with fewer fans like you judging our players.

It's not as if it's unusual for foreign players (Particularly young ones) to take time to adjust.

He's been poor, no doubt about that but let's give the lad a chance to settle in. He's been out of the side through injury or away for months. We've had to throw almost all our new signings straight into action while most sides in this division have grown into a position where they can afford to allow new foreign signings time to bed in. We're a couple of seasons away from that IMO.

Although Diarra was terrible today . Some of these comments man. He’s defo got ability especially runs in behind. Been injured half the season and at afcon. Good player there I’m telling ya

Not worried about him long-term, although he's clearly struggling. People who know a lot more about football than me paid 30 million and it's up to them to get the investment to pay off.

He stayed down too long prior to their goal but several of our players switched off and were trying to get the referee to stop play instead of focusing on what was happening. In any event, the goal was a fluke that was largely the fault of Ellsborg who lost sight of the ball and left a big gap. No-one should be scoring from there.

I did enjoy it when one of their players was all over him. Diarra's leg was between the Brighton players legs and Diarra clearly brought his knee up to get the guy in the balls. The announcers on DAZN were pretty funny when they realized why the player had gone down and changed the subject.

He was a dick today with his pretend injury and his foul throw but there is a good player in there I just feel like we need to play to his strengths so get him closer to Brobbey and be quicker on the break/counter

His end product was terrible and wants shooting with shite for whatever he was doing going down for their goal but this whole thing about his lack of movement and not trying is just complete lies people do realise yeah? It's not even an opinion, just lies  His movement's the only thing that's resulted in us creating chances from open for a fair while now.

Comparing him to Ndong ffs

Always argued the following

People will wrongly, as always, use his price tag against him

It's between him and Le Fee for one spot. Le Fees to lose

The whole midfield was poor and devoid of any creativity, other than the going down in the box when they scored I dont think he was any worse than the others. Least Diarra carries something of a slight goal threat. 1 goal all season between the other 2 - its not good enough. This singling out of a player who has missed half the season through injury is unfair imo.

Read this entire thread and most people's "Diarra is shite and a coward" opinions appear to boil down to his contribution to Brighton's goal today.

I thought he looked decent enough in the 4 games he played before his early season injury.

He was then missing for 4 months with that injury and AFCON.

He is still finding his feet after all of that (although he has still managed to knock 3 goals in, unlucky for it not to be 4) and has not long turned 22, still young.

He had a good time of it at Strabourg and has been a full cap for Senegal for two years now.

Probably a box to box midfielder, but it's tough to shine when you're playing for a defence minded Manager who set's up to win 1-0 at home and draw 0-0 away.

I'll definitely not be writing him off yet. Oh and he is our record signing at £30m
His age and his injury has absolutely nothing to do with him faking injury like he does on a regular occurrence. Again his club foot technique has nothing to do with finding his feet. Look at his spoon shot that went wide today. Look at his shanked goals against Burnely, His piss poor penalty at Leeds that really should of been saved, His touches that land 3 yards infront of him not to mention his laughable foul throw today. He’s been garbage

Looked like a star at the start of the season and for Senegal.

WTF has happened?
He was wank for Senegal in Afcon didn’t play in the final was left on bench couple times and hooked at half in one game.
Sadiki must be our most overrated player since Patrick Roberts.
Careful now i left a thread on him couple weeks back and got slated. Not a single goal from a box to box midfielder is pitiful. He’s massively overhyped. All this talk of clubs coming in for him in the summer paying over 50m were always far fetched he has to do alot more for me

I see plenty of scope for improvement if we can stop for a second and understand that nurturing and developing young talent is one of the sole reasons we've ended up where we have: 2 leagues above where we started from.

If some fans are just frustrated because the result is so raw then that's understandable to an extent, but come on, the lad is 22 years old in a new country and in the toughest league in the world so use a bit of context, please.
