Big trouble next season

He was Messi when Regis had the audacity to leave him out the other week.

He's not Messi.
Its between him and Diarra as the most disappointing signings this year. This thread, in all honesty, is a bit tragic. You have Ghislofi being interviewed saying we must imporve every season - saying season one is survival, season two is top ten and you keep moving. He literally said you can't stand still. And then you have fans talking about 'big trouble' next season. Its disappointing but predictable. It also doesn't take into account the fact that the Championship this year is as weak as it has ever been. Why do some fans have no backbone whatsoever?

Excuses, they have not been at it for weeks

Think Talbi is decent and only young. But I think him and Espcially Angulo have been bought in for their defensive abilities which is mental
Disagree totally. Angulo has given it a go every time he's been on whereas Talbi simply doesn't. Talbi has been a total flop whereas Angulo has promise. You seem to not have noticed that every winger in the league has to do their defensive duty. Our season has been better than could ever be imagined and if you're not optimistic for the future then I'm at a loss. Have a look at my post above - Ghisolfi has literally just said we can't stand still. I can see both Talbi and Diarra go in the summer.

much better today but the absence of Nordi and Reinildo is a big boost to the opposition.

We've done brilliantly this season but we barely have one competitve XI and any absentees is an immediate drop off.

I'm sure RLB and the owners don't need anyone to tell them this.

Agreed. We have only had 2 transfer windows - so it's understandable that our squad depth isn't great.

We are still 13th in the league, which is great.

Have to see how we fare in the rest of the season and when we get some players back before saying that. I didn't think we were as bad today as we have been recently but we still need more going forward. Regis said his aim is to improve our attacking play so hopefully he finds a solution.

Unless RLB changes his ways and stops being so negative with his tactics or he is replaced with a more balanced coach I can see us being in both next season.

Fingers crossed Ghisolfi has some good players up his sleeve which I think he will. It is no coincidence this has happened in all of RLBs Jobs.

Why did we stop playing the way we did at the start of the championship season? The high pressing exciting football? Turned into turgid defensive minded football. He would much rather draw 0-0 then go for a game.

I think we have some good attacking options Talbi etc but I really do think they are being held back. Surely the players can not enjoy that style of play? Whatever happens hope we find a solution because at the moment it is not only horrendous to watch but it will only lead to one eventuality in the coming season
Don’t think Le Bris will be here
His style of play is awful to watch

This is why I think he will plug the plug on RLB. Not saying I agree with it if it happens. Fair few up in the concourse today having a go at him.

It’s the same shite every time we get beat on here. Struggle next season, things going wrong behind the scenes.

Is it possible that our young squad is going through a bang average patch?

Not sure if that is correct. If we had said we'd have 40 points with 9 games to go at the start of the season we'd be amazed. The fact is that we lack good enough attacking players. Brobbey is decent and Angulo looks promising but beyond that who is good enough. Traore and Mundle always injured, Isidor not good enough, Talbi not good enough, Adingra not good enough and Mayenda probably not good enough. This WILL be addressed in the summer. I wouldn't be surprised to see Diarra and Talbi moved on.

Nail hit on the head there mate.

I hate watching this style as much as anyone and I've complained about it over the last couple of years, but let's be honest here, the attacking players aren't good enough or close. Yes the style isn't helping them but the good attacking players in this league go for £60m + we have had to buy prospects / punts. It's worked to an extent but we can't really expect them to be as good as seasoned PL pros like the ones they have to play against each week. Hopefully next year these players will be back-ups and the Championship ones will leave, it's how we have to build.

I'm not convinced that RLB is the man for next season, but if we keep him I can live with it (Providing we don't just roll over for the rest of this season)
