Happened in the Plunkett Shield in NZ

The hat-trick ball looks like an absolutely woeful call by the umpire mind, looked nowhere near it!!!

However I was today years old when our antipodean contingent call 4 in 4 a double hat-trick and 5 in 5 a triple hat-trick.

Surely this bollocks can't stand as 6 in 6 and 9 in 9 surely would be double and triple hat-tricks?

Down with this sort of thing!!!

On the flipside, there’s no requirement for the football hat-trick to be in any way consecutive. Three goals in a match is all it takes. Different sports use different language.

German football fans only count a hat-trick as 3 consecutive goals in one half!
