I was angry with the result, but fair play to Port Vale, they done what they needed to do. As far as fans are concerned, we've had some amazing times in the past 10 months, so I'm happy for the Vale fans, I doubt they've had many moments like today recently.

It’s probably one of the best results in their history tbh. Unfortunate it happened against us but it’s what makes the FA cup a brilliant competition.
 
Spoke to 5/6 of their fans and all sound as fuck so hope they get a good draw in the next round. Could have easily give it the big un after that today.
 
Agreed. The only team to play a semblance of football on an absolutely horrendous playing surface. We were Simon Graysoneasue in everything we did
 
Anyone who plays a weakened team at this stage in a competition that they want to win = deserves everything that comes their way. They're there for a reason.

Talk about dissapointed - a real chance to push on for a place in the final squandered.

Great sportsmanship from " THE REAL FANS" of Sunderland. I watch PORT VALE a few times every season. But as a grassroots referee was not able to attend today.
But although your team's performance today was abysmal. To be honest enough to congratulate your opponents who have had a disastrous season. Is very commendable.
 
If it was any other side in the league we would’ve lapped it up today, games like today are why we love the FA Cup we just happened to be the fall guys today
