ID checks for away tickets

I’ve said this earlier on but away allocations should have to be a certain percentage of the grounds capacity like in the FA cup. Clubs could accept less if they won’t sell them. Especially in these days of super stadia would potentially create a better ‘product’ for the ‘consumer’.
Clubs don't spend millions on improving home facilities and capacity for away fans mate

You suspect….

So, I suspect your suspicion fits your view, my suspicion is you are completely clueless on it.
I pretty much guarantee bugger all tickets were passed/sold/resold/ for Leeds.
Mind that doesn’t fit your view
I agree, it’s difficult as we don’t see any numbers so we can’t know for sure.

The only figure we have been given ivy the club is that 70% of those asked to produce ID at the ticket office failed to do so.

Should be a good away end tomorrow then.

The theme this season seems to be the more glamorous games have had flat away ends (as the actual high pointers have attended.

The better away ends have been the less glamorous or difficult to attend games where the tickets have been passed on to the younger “daft lads” who drive the atmosphere.

One of the bigger problems with ID checks appears to be preventing the more vocal fans getting in.
Leeds was certainly not one of the more difficult away games to attend but was probably the best away end of the season tbf.

Yeah, I realise that, but in the absence of any other hard facts, it’s probably the best we have.

Aside from this, we have people looking at 3000 people and claiming on here that they’re “all the regular crowd”

You obviously see ‘regular’ faces which can’t be deemed as nothing untoward happens as nobody can vouch for every face.
Pretty sure Man City was a random thing and nobody had been told to take ID etc tho

Any form of “paying” into a ballot becomes an elitist problem, and presumably those who would like fairness would oppose this.
I’d rather pass a ticket to a friend for a nice in the lifetime chance, than see someone who could afford it to bay £5 a game to get ahead of him

Does happen. I know someone who missed about 4 or 5 aways last season and didn't have a season ticket.
Similarly, its opposite way round too. People on large points who've bought tickets for nearly every game who dont go, cos there's always someone to take it.

Yep, I also know a couple in that scenario too.

I haven't used my own details for an away game for about 10 years. If stricter restrictions come in, I might not get to many more. But still accept that it's the fairest solution - even if it's massively detrimental to my own personal interests.

State of all the jonny come latelys man

They all have just so many suggestions don’t they.

Wasn’t needed when we were doing Cheltenham midweek or a dead rubber at Norwich.

Isn’t needed now.

Watch on tele and hang your heads you only care now.

As has been said, it’ll die off next season anyway for many so just wait your turn.

Many of them probably not on the way to Port Vale this morning either, at the end of the day those who went in the last 4 years religiously are reaping the rewards. The system isn’t broken, the people are.

Well that’s bullshit as Leeds was probably the best atmosphere of the season…
