ID checks for away tickets

Why do people insist on continuously posting this bollocks reasoning.

Previously people with 20 to 30 genuine points would never have had an issue getting a ticket (other than probably Boro).

So it's obvious that this season people would have an issue when people with 0 points are going to games ahead of them. It's common sense.

So what you are saying is more tickets available at grounds and so more people are going this collecting more points?

Not sure about 20/30 for Boro mind or Leeds, overall and without checking at all I think we are getting more away tickets this season than last except the likes of Bournemouth/Brentford/scum

Not had many dealings with our ticket office recently then? 😅
Different topic I guess.....but generally get a quick response ask safc......and tickets always arrive in plenty of time. I know others might not have the same experience, but I think they're getting their act together compared with last few.seasons.

Yes obviously. Demand has changed so it needs managing. Its not rocket science even the roy cropper stamp collector types should be able to grasp it.
Nothing needs managing. The club is selling all the tickets to its existing customer base with minimal effort. Thankfully they arent changing anything for the likes of you. Even dancing radio types should be able to grasp it.

The club wouldn't be threatening legal action against people who set up the Facebook page even nothing needed managing.

There's no doubt about it, that the club will bring in stricter measures next season to ensure people aren't building points and not going to games.

I dont care about that. Thats fine. Theres also no doubt people who expect to be able decide they want tickets for high profile games wont be allowed ahead of those who've travelled the length and breadth of the country for years.

Don't think anyone would disagree with that.

Blinkered. And a bit worried?

This thread man so one blokes recommended gambling £10 a pop to see if you win a chance to pay for a ticket. f***ing mental!!

But the ballots
10% of say 3000 so 300 get a chance
Who loses out for these 300?
Those who travel all over and accrue points as those with 50+ points drop out

The corporate lot? Who already go into n a ballot so they will need to go into an initial ballot to see if they get a chance of a ticket in the next ballot they could have to pay for? Ontop of the thousands they spend.

Then we have the players family friends etc what % do they get and do we punish them?

Then we are going to have a few types of zero and low pointers

Those who apply for everything and are willing to travel anywhere

Then we will have the I’m applying for a big game only scenario.

Everyone only really wants the scenario that suits them. My lads have missed out on a few this season but it is what it is. They’ve still managed to get to a few.
I'd be very surprised if there are any tomorrow
premier league rules isn’t it not fa cup. Didnt see any checks at Everton or Oxford.

Thankfully they arent changing anything? Not the brightest bulb in the pack. Theyve closed down the facebook page, increased id checks, cut down corporate allocation ...
Weren’t you having a pop at people for coming across entitled in the big weekend thread?

You seem to think you’re entitled to away match tickets.
Not at all im just looking at it logically like an adult not like a 12 year old calling people losers and no mates.

You’ve just said someone isn’t the brightest bulb in the pack. Who’s being grown up now?

Logically, those with the most loyalty points get to go to away games. It’s very simple.

Well im afraid its true and your latter sentence just proves the point again. I agree with your comment so presumably you agree with the facebook page being closed down and id checks both of which clamp down on people accruing points by applying and selling on?

ID checks I’m fine with, as long as the communication from the club is good, which it wasn’t.

The Facebook group had good & bad elements. I’m glad they’re stopping people just buying to sell on, but it had some benefits for some people. It doesn’t affect me either way whether it exists or not.

Well that sounds fairly sensible

The people witb 70 plus points also started off at zero at some point.
Yes this has been repeated many times. We know. I think the point is just because someone happened to be in the right personal circumstances in those particular seasons it doesnt mean everyone else should be blocked out

However I will say I agree with what others have said , demand will fall off next season as the noveltys worn off so I think it will sort itself out

It does mean that to be fair though. Anyone who has accumulated all of their points genuinely deserved to be ahead of people with less points in the queue.

The only possible exception is for younger fans - say those under 21 for example. That's the only circumstances in which I would support a small number of tickets going to ballot.
